The students can know the definition of ads .how advertising works and learn strategies of it

There are 49 students in the class. They are poor in speaking and need more practice. They do not know how to apply what they learn in the lesson into practice, especially into writing.
Anticipated problems 預測的問題 All the tasks are designed in new activity forms, so students may have problems in carrying out the instructions. Long sentences is a big challenging, so students may not finish it as expected. Proposed solutions 問題解決的方案
Apply some pictures to instructions so that the students can have a better idea of the new activity forms.
More time and guides are needed for the students in comprehension.
Teaching Context 教材分享
Students have learnt the reading passages How Advertising Works and have been exposed to some ads. They need the chance to reviw the words and expressions and to apply what they learnt about ads into practice.

2.教學過程
課前準備:1,通過上一節課詞匯學習,為學生對理解本課文章內容奠定了初步的基礎,提前預習導學案和本文中出現的長難句分析使學生更好的學習本課。2,為了發揮學生的互助作用,將全班學生分為8組每組6人,組長為成績較好的同學擔任
教學過程:
Step1 lead in為了更為生動的體現廣告的普遍性,播放一段無數廣告剪輯而成的視頻由此引出課題。并思考Where can find ads? Why are they so popular? 首先引領學生根據問題,建構文章框架:
Step 2:warming up and pre-reading頭腦風暴游戲
本環節,通過小組成員猜測圖片用意的頭腦風暴,預測跟本單元廣告相關的6個圖片。很自然的進入文章,并帶著疑問去檢測自己的猜測是否準確,瀏覽的文章的大意。要求: 1. 6 students in a group sit in a circle.
2. Say something on the topics.
3. share the information with partner 頭腦風暴的問題:
1. Where do you see or hear advertisements? 2. What do ads want us to do?
復習的內容:1,TV, Radio, shopping center, the Internet, bus, car, public places,… 2. What makes a good advertisement? Step 3 skimming
介紹說明文,教學生找關鍵詞 Step 4 scanning
在此過程中加入必修二的2篇廣告 讓學生更好的理解如何使廣告更為有效,并為下節作文課打下伏筆 復習的內容:
