預(yù)習(xí)案Previewing Case
     The use of –ing form表示主動(dòng)的或進(jìn)行的動(dòng)作或伴隨狀態(tài)，在句子中可以充當(dāng)Attribute (定語)，Object Complement(賓語補(bǔ)足語)，Subject (主語) ，Predicative(表語)，Object(賓語)，和Adverbial(狀語)。
分析下列句子中-ing形式所做成分。
1.Walking is good for everyone.  (             )
2. Our job is playing all kinds of music. (             )
3. We shall appreciate hearing from you again. (             )
4. Do you know the boy lying under the tree?  (             )
5. People come to theme parks, looking for excitement.  (             )
6. On the hill, he saw smoke rising from the chimneys. (             )

探究一 動(dòng)詞–ing形式作主語
e.g. Traveling makes me relax. So traveling all over the world is my dream.
 
Task 1: Write down your hobbies and dreams by using the following sentence patterns.
          Doing…makes/gives/brings me/is… 
          So doing… is my hobby/my dream
My hobby or dream:______________________________________________________________

總結(jié)一：動(dòng)詞–ing形式直接作主語時(shí)表示抽象概念，謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)形式。
 
探究二 動(dòng)詞–ing形式作賓語
Task 2: A guessing game: Work in groups, and use at least three sentences with V-ing to describe one of your classmates. The students in other groups will guess who he/she is.
 
For example:  be good at doing sth.     be interested in doing     dream of doing sth.  
look forward to doing.    devote…to doing sth.   care (little/ more) about doing

總結(jié)二：常跟動(dòng)詞ing作賓語的動(dòng)詞歌訣:
考慮建議盼原諒 (consider, suggest / advise, look forward to, excuse, pardon) ，
承認(rèn)推遲沒得想(admit, delay / put off, fancy)，
避免錯(cuò)過繼續(xù)練(avoid, miss, keep /keep on, practice)，
否認(rèn)完成停能賞(deny, finish, stop, enjoy / appreciate)，
不禁介意準(zhǔn)逃亡(can’t help, mind, allow/ permit, escape)，
不準(zhǔn)冒險(xiǎn)憑想象(forbid, risk, imagine)。
探究三 -ing形式作定語
     Finish the following exercises, and discuss with your partners if having some difficulties.
1. building materials = materials for building 建筑材料drinking water = water for drinking 飲用水
a walking stick = a stick for walking 手杖   a writing desk = a desk for writing 寫字臺(tái)   
總結(jié)三：動(dòng)詞-ing 形式作定語，放在所修飾詞的前面，說明被修飾詞的特征、用途或動(dòng)作。

2. (1)The man running over there is our chairman.
     = The man who is running over there is our chairman.
   (2)They lived in a room facing the street.
     = They lived in a room which faces the street.
總結(jié)四：動(dòng)詞-ing形式作定語，放在所修飾的名詞之后，表示主動(dòng)或進(jìn)行，在意思上相當(dāng)于
        一個(gè)定語從句。
