教學目標
1.能力目標:
使學生能夠用英語談論“health”這個話題,并表述吸煙的危害性和如何戒煙。同時掌握如何用英語給出建議(Advise people about what to do and what not to do.)
2.情感目標:
使學生了解健康生活的內涵,明白吸煙的危害以及如何擺脫吸煙惡習,養成良好生活習慣,過健康生活。
2學情分析
:本單元的中心話題為“健康生活”,所有聽說讀寫等活動均圍繞如何摒棄惡習,怎樣過健康生活展開。reading部分借助祖父的一封信提到抽煙的危害,以及如何戒煙,遠離不良習慣,過上健康生活。因此在整體課堂設計上務必使學生通過瀏覽PPT圖片,小組討論等形式了解以下內容1.什么樣的生活是健康生活;2.吸煙對于健康的危害;3.如何戒煙。多數學生明白吸煙有害身體,但對其具體危害性知之甚少。圖片展示和討論的形式有助于他們對這一話題的深入了解。

使用英語講解吸煙如何使人上癮。

4教學過程
4.1第一學時教學過程設計 Step 1:warming up &lead in 以健康測試a health quiz的形式導入話題,了解學生的大致生活習慣,并給出健康的內涵概念(health =physical health +mental health),并以此導入本單元主題“A healthy life”。 Step2:pre-reading 從談論自己或朋友的吸煙經歷論及話題—1)-青少年為何會吸煙2)青少年吸煙的危害性。 Step 3: reading reading部分總共分為兩部分,祖父給James的信和祖父收集的網絡戒煙資料。在課堂設計中分開教學。 閱讀第一部分: 1. Fast reading: 讓學生速讀第一部分“祖父給James的一封信”,從祖父的親身經歷了解吸煙的危害性。 2. 通過各段落大意匹配的形式(match the main idea with each paragraph),讓學生對文章結構有整體了解。 Para1: Talk about the healthy life he leads through his own experience. Para2: James’ problem of smoking. Para3: Tell us some different ways of becoming addicted. Para4: Tell us the harmful effects of smoking. Para5: The writer’s hope for his grandson and advice on stopping smoking. Careful reading: 3. 精讀主要側重第三、第四自然段“吸煙的上癮方式”和“吸煙的危害”話題的掌握。主要采取歸納填空等方式評價, 確保學生對要點的掌握。 Para3 : three different ways of being addicted to cigarette. Physically addicted to nicotine; addicted through habits; mentally addicted Para4: the harmful effects of smoking do damage to heart and lungs; difficulty in pregnancy; unhealthy baby; affect the health of non-smokers; smelt terrible; fingers are turning yellow; breathless and not enjoying sports as much. 閱讀第二部分: 1. 讓學生掌握6個戒煙的建議,并通過填空的形式了解其掌握程度。 six pieces of advice: 1) prepare yourself 2) Be determined. 3) Break the habit. 4) Relax. 5) Get help if you need it. 6) Keep trying. 2. 討論話題 What do you think can be done to protect non-smokers from those who smoke 引導學生給出合理的控煙、保護不吸煙人群免受二手煙侵害的建議。 Possible answers: Publish a non-smoking policy in public ; Set a smoking zone; Launch a campaign to highlight the danger of smoking for smokers and non-smokers… Step 4: homework 通過對有關禁煙以及吸煙危害廣告的展示,讓同學開動腦筋,展開想象力設計自己的戒煙廣告。
