Analysis of the material: Section B 3a~4 include the following parts: a reading material about an invitation; the suggestions about how to make an invitation; the calendars that students can use for their conversation. It provides reading and writing practice using the target language. Teaching aims:
1. Students can know the basic rules of writing an invitation. 2. Students are able to write an invitation on their own. 3. Understand the culture in western countries. Teaching focus;
Write an e-mail to make an invitation. Teaching difficulties:
To give students enough background material that can help them to make an invitation Teaching methods: 1. Student- centered 2. Task-based Teaching
3. Use the tablet computers Teaching procedures: Step 1. Warm-up
1. Play a guessing game: What kind of party or event do we have? 2. Free talk:Students talk about more kinds of parties or events.
Step 2. Presentation
1. Pair work: Inviting your friends.
