Unit 9 Can you come to my party?教學設計
一、教材的地位及作用
本課選自人教版義務教育課程標準實驗教科書《英語》八年級上冊Unit9。本單元主要學習邀請的表達法,學會向別人提出邀請、接受或婉言拒絕別人的邀請,學會談論自己的計劃安排。本課時圍繞“邀請和請求許可”這一話題,設計了三個任務型活動: Task1:對話展現提出邀請和接受邀請及拒絕邀請的英文表達。 Task 2:進行調查,通過句型練習對話,詢問學生拒絕做某事的原因。 Task 3:聽力練習,練習對話,練習第三人稱的用法,鞏固所學單詞及句型。 二、學情分析
本單元的主題是發出邀請、接受邀請及拒絕邀請。圍繞這一主題進行一系列交際活動,使學生熟練掌握以can開頭的一般疑問句并正確使用。 Sure, I’d love to. / I’m sorry, I can’t. I have to ...表示接受和拒絕邀請。在此之前,學生已掌握can,have to及would love的用法。所以,這些對學生來說并不難,比較容易掌握。 三、教學目標 (一)語言知識目標: 1.口筆頭掌握以下句型:
A: Can you come to my party on Saturday afternoon?
B: Sure, I’d love to ... /Sorry , I can’t. I have to help my parents. A: Can she go to the movies? B: No, she can’t. She is reading.
2.熟練掌握以下詞匯:prepare, exam, flu, available, until. 3.熟練使用情態動詞 can 和have to。
(二)語言技能目標:能夠聽懂提出邀請及應答邀請的會話,并能使用它們有禮貌地發出邀請,接受邀請或拒絕邀請。
(三)情感態度:培養學生有禮貌地與他人交往的能力。 四、教學重、難點 (一)教學重點:
1. 運用所學提出邀請,接受邀請和拒絕邀請。 2. 正確使用can, must,have to等情態動詞。 (二)教學難點:
1. 扎實掌握重點詞匯和表示邀請的句型并能靈活運用。 2. 通過聽力練習和小組合作,理解并能提出邀請并作肯定回答。 五、教學策略
采用對話、表演等學習策略,利用教學圖片、幻燈片和制作課件來展開課堂教學。本課時不僅教學有關邀請和請求許可的用語,還要讓學生了解英語國家的風俗習慣,人們過生日常舉行聚會,約請親朋好友吃飯。孩子之間發邀請一般采用非正式的形式:口頭打招呼或通電話。接受邀請的人要弄清時間和地點,應準時到場,否則事先要說明不能到或晚到,以免讓人久等。這些待人接物的習慣表示了禮貌、友好,是具有良好的文化素質的表現。 六、學習策略
語音教學——讓學生進行模仿操練;
詞匯教學——采用情景介紹或展示圖片的方式進行教學,讓學生在情境中操練,理解含義并學會運用;
口語教學——采用individual work,pair work,group work問答的口語交際活動或游戲等小組活動互相操練;
聽力教學——采取圖文配對的方式;
語法教學——總結規律,抓住特征,模仿操練。 七、教學程序 Step 1. Warming-up
Let the students say some verb phrases as quickly as possible. Model:
T: What weekend activities do you know? Make a list. Ss: Study for a test/go to a movie /have a piano lesson /
surf the internet/ help my mother /visit my grandfather /play basketball and so on...

Task: Give and accept or decline invitations in pairs. Then ask several pairs to act out their conversations. Model:

C: Sorry, I can’t. I have to prepare for an exam. D: I’m sorry, too. I must go to the doctor.

當最后兩組學生互相邀請時,隨后問全班同學:Can he /she come to his or her party? Help them to answer. No,he /she can’t. He /She has a football lesson /has to help her mother/is surfing the Internet. Then ask the class to ask and answer in three to practice following conversations. A: Can you go to the movies?
B: Sorry, I can’t. I have to go to the doctor. C: Can he go to the movies?
A: No he can’t. He has to go to the doctor.

1.Read the sentences in 2a.Tell students they will listen to some sentences. They should listen and circle the words “can” or “can’t” in the bracket.
2. Play the record for the students to listen and circle the words. 3. Play the record again to check the answers. Work on 2b:
1. Let students read the chart. Tell students, this time they must write the reasons in the chart. Make sure they know what to do.

Make a survey about a invitation. Six students are in a group, one student invites the other students to go to a concert. Report the result.
