1. invite 動(dòng)詞,意思是“邀請(qǐng)”。 (1) invite sb. to sp 邀請(qǐng)某人到某地
e.g. He invited many people to his house.
(2) invite sb. to do sth 邀請(qǐng)某人做某事
e.g. He invited a singer to sing for his friends. (3).invitation是名詞,當(dāng)“邀請(qǐng)”講時(shí),是不可數(shù)名詞,當(dāng)“邀請(qǐng)書,請(qǐng)?zhí)?rdquo;講時(shí),是可數(shù)名詞。 e.g.
an invitation to a birthday party 2. look forward to
look forward to 是一個(gè)固定搭配,表示“期待,期盼”, 其中to 是介詞,因此后面如果使用動(dòng)詞,要用其-ing 形式。又如: I look forward to your reply. 我期待你的答復(fù)。
I’m really looking forward to hearing from you.
我好期待收到你的來信.
