I. Analysis of the teaching material
Unit6 Section B 1a-1e 是本單元的第三課時,圍繞“新年計劃(New Year’s
resolutions)”話題展開,語言輸入量多。它是學生對Section A中所學知識的鞏固、拓展和提升運用。1a-1b通過圖文匹配和對話練習幫助學生復習談論自己將來的打算。1a中出現的短語是SectionA中未出現過的,它們為后面的1c-1d的聽力材料的呈現提供了詞匯儲備。1c-1d以“談論新年計劃”為話題展開聽力練習,自然貼切地運用了1a中剛學的詞組,能讓學生進一步體會目標語言在真實語境中的運用。1e是一個兩人問答活動,學生可以自行組織對話,靈活度較大。 本課是Section B的開篇之課,也是下一課的鋪墊和基礎。因此,本課在整個單元中,尤其在Section B中地位比較重要,對學生來說,學好本課對于Section B后面的閱讀和寫作課的學習將起到極大的促進作用。
基于以上分析,本課的整體設計思路如下:
在導入環節,教師通過歌曲We Wish You A Merry Christmas 和介紹自己的近期打算,引出“New Year’s Resolutions”這一主題。在聽前任務中設計了四個活動,分別是:Watch a video(人機對話引出七個目標短語);Look and say(利用課本1a中的圖片強化學生的識記);Memory challenge(測試和鞏固上述目標語言);Talking time(創設情境練習和運用目標語言)。聽中的任務設計了兩個: Listen & match 和 Listen again &write。我們把課本1c和1d的活動根據學情作了適當的調整,把1c的任務調整為任務和對應的決心連線;為了降低了1d的難度,把原來的聽寫句子改為聽寫關鍵詞。聽后的活動設計了三個:Make a report(根據聽力活動中的兩個任務讓學生對三個人物的新年決心和怎么實現決心做一個報告);Share your ideas(這是一個兩人結對活動,融入了我們本課內容的三個方面what, why, how, 在做這個對話活動之前提供給學生10 Top Resolutions和常見的原因,這個活動為后面的Talk about your resolutions in 2018做出強有力的鋪墊);Talk about your resolutions in 2018(這是一個以聽促寫的任務,為了降低難度,先給出一個學生寫作的范本,再給出文章的框架,學生先寫下來,再交流分享;同時引導學生為實現新年愿望而努力,從而在2018年做更好的自己)。課后作業的設計有兩個:為了學生在寫新年愿望時,設置真實的語境,所以設置了讓學生潤色自己的寫作并發電子郵件給老師的作業;第二個作業是讓學生掃描二維碼再次觀看我們在呈現環節給學生觀看過的視頻,以起到復習和鞏固本課目標短語和句子的作用。

IV. Teaching Procedure
Step1 warming-up (3 minutes)
1. Enjoy a song We Wish You A Merry Christmas. 2. Free talk
First, introduce the teacher’s resolutions: In 2018, I'm going to: take a trip, read more books, keep healthy...
Then lead the students to talk about their resolutions. Step2 Before listening (10minutes)
1. Watch a video My Students’ New Year's Resolutions and answer the questions:
What are they going to do next year?
get lots of exercise; eat healthier food; get good grades; learn a foreign language; learn to play the piano; get on well with my parents 2. Look and say
Ask the students to look at the pictures and say the phrases loudly. 3. Memory challenge: Who is the fastest? 4. Talking time
