一、教學目標
1.Master the key words: pianist, engineer, scientist, computer

2.Learn to say: ⑴What do you want to be when
you grow up: ⑵How are you going to do that? 3.Develop students’ listening and speaking skills.
二、學情分析
班上40名學生,優生人數10左右,及格人數28人左右。
三、重點難點

四、教學過程 1、第一學時 1.1 教學活動
活動1(導入)warm up
Step Ⅰ:Warm up: Greet the class as usual. 活動2(導入)Lead-in
Step Ⅱ: Lead-in: play a game “That’s me” game. 活動3(導入)presentation
Step Ⅲ:1.Teach la. Talk about four jobs. Let them learn to
Say:What do you want to be when you grow up? I want to be …?
2.Use some new pictures:Teach new words:
Pianist, engineer, scientist, computer programmer, pilot, Let the students learn to say: How are you going to do that ? I’m going to …
3.Game:a. Read the words about jobs on the screen.
(Use high voice and low voice) b. Show the pictures quickly. Ask the
students to say it as quickly as they can. c. Memory challenge: The students listen to music and write down some words about the jobs. When music on. They can write. When music stop. They stop writing.
4.Teach lb:Listen and fill in the chart, listen twice.
The first time, write “jobs”. The second time, write “How are you going to do that?”
5.Read the tapescripes.

1.Task 1. chain work: Let the students deride into two halves,
they have a competition, give them one minute to say their ideas. Just like this:
A: I want to be … when I grow up. I am going to … How about you?
B: I want to be a … when I grow up
At last. Let’s count. How many students can remember these sentences, and which group is the winner? 2.Task 2. pair work
The students work in pairs. Give them two sentences: then talk about their ideas. When they finish it, ask some students to act it out. Just like this:
A: What do you want to be when you grow up? B: I want to be …… when I grow up. A: How are you going to do that? B: I am going to…… 3.Task 3. Group work
Ask students to work in groups, talk about: What do you want to be when you grow up? and “How are you going to do that?” Then ask one student to report their ideas about their groups.
活動5(導入)Summary

We have learned some new words about jobs and two important sentences: “What do you want to be when you grow up? and how are you going to do that?” I hope you will have a good job when you grow up: Work hard to make your dream come true. Ok?
