目標確定的依據
1. 課程標準相關要求
課程標準四級目標要求八年級學生能聽懂接近自然語速、熟悉話題的簡單語段；識別主題，獲取主要信息；能引出話題并進行交談，并能在口語活動中使用正確的語音語調。 2. 教材分析
本節課要求學生能運用be going to 這個句子結構來談論自己以及好朋友的新年決心以及如何實現這個決心。 3. 學情分析
學生在小學階段和七年級學習了一些描述新年決心的動詞短語，這為順利學習這節課奠定了知識基礎。本單元Section A 部分已經學習了be going to 的句型，并且用這個句型練習了如何表達自己的夢想，所以本節課再次運用這個句型對于學生來說不難。學好本節課也為第七單元進一步學習一般將來時奠定基礎。
目標
1. 通過給圖片排序來學習如何談論新年決心。
2. 通過聽力練習來獲取信息，并學習談論如何讓自己的新年決心實現。 3. 通過小組活動來談論自己朋友的新年決心以及如何實現它們。

Task 1 Enjoy a video named Happy New Year and come to realize we are going to learn something about New Year. Step Ⅱ Presentation
Task 2 Match the pictures with the New Year’s resolutions.
Assessment 1 Check how many students can understand the New Year’s Resolutions. Step Ⅲ Pair work
Task 3 Work in pairs and talk about what their New Year’s Resolutions are.
Assessment 2 Check how many students can use the sentence pattern to describe their resolutions.
Step Ⅳ Listening and Speaking
Task 4 Listen to the tape and write what their resolutions are and how they are going to make them work.
Task 5 Talk about the chart in pairs to check the answers.
Assessment 3 Check how many students can understand the listening material fully. Step Ⅴ Oral Practice
Task 6 Look at some pictures about different teachers’ resolutions and give as many suggestions as they can.
Task 7 Come up with some other resolutions and speak out them one by one. Task 8 Do a group work. Discuss their New Year's Resolutions and how they are going to make it work. One student is a reporter and give a report.
Assessment 4 Check how many students can use the sentence pattern to talk about their friends’ resolutions and how they can make them come true.
Task 9 Enjoy a song to find out the important thing that makes their resolutions work.
