一、教材分析
Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show? Section A1a-2c是新目標 Go for it ! Students,Book 八年級上冊Unit5的內容。Section A主要是以娛樂活動為話題來談論喜好和制定計劃。本單元主要是通過“創設情境”的教學原則,并通過任務型教學( task-based learning )交際教學(communicative teaching method)創造性地使用英語。在“學中用,用中學”,從而引導學生們形成正確的文化觀念,大力培養學生們的跨文化意識,形成自己獨立的個性。 二、學生分析
1、八年級學生的自學能力較高,求知欲也很強,有著較強的主體意識和主動性。
2、本課時主要以不同的電視節目類型為話題,來談論喜好和制定計劃,比較貼近他們的生活實際,容易產生共鳴。 三、教學目標 1. 語言知識目標:
1) 能掌握以下單詞:sitcom, news, soap, educational, plan, hope, find out, stand 2)能掌握以下句型:
① What do you want/plan/hope to watch?
② What do you think of talk shows? ③ I can’t stand them. ④ I don’t mind them.
⑤ I like/love them. / I don’t like them. 2. 能力目標:
學會陳述自己的看法;學會談論自己的喜好;學會制定計劃。 3. 情感態度價值觀目標:
學會談論流行文化,了解各類電視和電視節目的名稱和自己的喜好。注意引導學生們形成正確的文化觀念,正確處理學習和愛好之間的關系。 三、教學重難點
重點:掌握詞匯和目標語言。
難點:正確的表達喜好,完成計劃報告。 四、信息技術應用思路
使用的信息技術主要有:使用多媒體課件PPT并插入視頻、音頻。 1. 導入環節,插入一段視頻(保證大小,內容等符合本節課要求,本視頻為本堂課量身定做,更能激發同學們的學習興趣。)。 2. 聽力環節,在PPT中插入音頻(以滿足教學需要)和相應的練習。 3. 在Groupwork環節,讓學生設計最喜歡的電視節目(用PPT和Excel設計表格,力求使PPT制作更精良)。
4. Show time 環節,引導學生自己總結,培養自主學習意識。 五、教學流程設計
StepⅠ Warming-up and leading-in T:Ask three questions.
---How are you today?
---What do you usually do on weekends? ---Do you want to watch a game show?
Ss: To follow the teacher’s ideas and give their answers. 設計意圖:To make students relax and lead in the new topic. StepⅡ Presentation 1、T:Have a brainstorm.
What TV shows do you know?
S: Say out the names of TV shows that they know. 設計意圖:To be familiar with the new expressions. 2、T: Present the Chinese names of TV shows on the paper.
S: Write down the English name of TV shows. 設計意圖:To learn about the names of TV shows 3、T: Play a short video.
S: Enjoy the video that has seven kinds of TV shows and tell how many kinds of TV shows there are.
設計意圖: By watching the video to raise the students’ interest in taking part in the class. 4、T:.Present seven pictures of TV shows.
S: Look at the pictures carefully and say out the TV shows. 設計意圖: To learn about the names of TV shows more clearly. 5、Game time
T:Design a game called “Challenge your eyes” which aims to consolidate the names of TV shows.
S: Focus on the task and try their best to win the game 6、 Look and match the TV shows with the pictures. 設計意圖:To learn different kinds of TV shows better. StepⅢ Practice
1、T: Show five kinds faces to help students answer “ like, love,
don’t mind, don’t like, can’t stand”.
S: Match the faces with the expressions.
設計意圖:To learn the meanings of these faces directly. 2、Pairwork:
T:Present how to express likes and dislikes. Give an
example:
---What do you think of talent shows/ news? ---I love them / it. ---Why / Why not?
---Because I think they are / it is….
S: Work in pairs to talk about their likes and dislikes about different TV shows with the help of the pictures and faces 設計意圖: To train students’ speaking skills by expressing their
likes and dislikes. StepⅣ Listening 1、 1b and 2a
T:Play the tape and ask students to finish related exercise. S:Listen to the tape and number the shows ( 1--4) in the order. 2、2b
T: Change filling the blanks into choice questions.
S: Listen to the tape and choose the right answer of each question.
設計意圖: Change the task to make 2b much easier to train the students’ listening skills and improve students’ learning interest. Step Ⅴ Groupwork
T: Divide students into groups of four. Make a survey about students’ favorite TV shows
e.g. A: What do you plan / hope / want to watch?
B: I plan / hope / want to watch…. A: why do you like watching…? B: Because….
Then conclude the survey results and show the group work. S: Ss work in groups and discuss their favorite shows.
設計意圖:To use the target language to express their
preferences correctly.
Step Ⅵ Show time.
The topic is about five famous people. Behind each person there’s a task which is closely related to the language points in this class.
S: First know about the game rules. Then take part in it actively設計意圖:To check whether they have mastered the language
points or not. At the same time, to summarize what they have learned.
Step Ⅶ Moral education.
T:Show two pictures to tell students not to watch too much TV.
設計意圖:Help students to establish a correct outlook on life,
to choose the TV programs which are valuable to their health and growth.
Step Ⅷ Homework:
1.Remember the new words and try to write down all the TV shows you know. 2. write down the report. Step Ⅸ Blackboard design.
