教學目標:
1. 能聽懂、會讀、會說、會寫下列短語:dance, sing English songs, play the pipa, do kung fu, draw cartoons。
2. 能聽懂、會說并能靈活運用下列句型: What can you do? I can.... But I can’t...
3. 了解中國傳統文化。 4. 掌握學習和交際策略。
5. 培養公德意識、敢于表現、創新和樂于助人的品質。 教學重點:
1. 四會短語和句型的讀寫。 2. 情態動詞“can”的用法。
3. What can you do? I can...句型的表達以及人稱的變換。 4. 會用“I can..., but I can’t”表達自己會做和不會做的事情。 教學難點:
1. 單詞“kung fu”, ”draw”, ”cartoons”的發音和書寫。
2. 如何運用“I can... / I can’t”句型對不同場合中(家庭、學校、社 會)能做和不能做的事情進行簡單描述。 教學方式:
任務型教學法、合作教學法、交際法、游戲教學法。 教學準備:
多媒體、幻燈片、圖卡、詞卡 教學過程: 1. Warm-up
1) Sing the song:《Days of the Week》
2) Free talk:What do you often do on the weekend? Review some sentences about what they do and what they don’t do on the weekend. 3) Lead to the topic 2. Presentation
1) Look , Listen and follow : dance, sing English songs, play the pipa, do some kung fu, draw cartoons
2) Learn the sentence: “What can you do ? I can...”
3) Listen to a dialogue and learn:“ I can..., I can..., too. ” Show the word card. 3. Practice
1) Teacher acts out and students guess ”What can I do? ”. 2) One student shows picture cards, then other students answer his/her question”What can he/she/they...do? ”.
3) Practice to write down the new words and phrases according to Pictures, correcting wrong spellings. Encourage them to find out
errors.
4) Work in pairs to talk about what they can do on Children’s Day. Then act out. Encourage them to be active. Give performers reward. 4. Consolidation and Extension
1) Students listen to an E-mail and finish exercises about what Robin can do. Then Ask them to find out what he can’t do. Show the word card and read: ”But I can’t...”
2) Talk about themselves: “Hi, I am.... I can...., I can..., too. But I can’t.... How about you?” Teacher gives a demonstration first. Then students act out. Give performers reward.
3) Do a competition: Talk about what they can/can’t do at home. The group who can speak out more will be the winner. Congratulations to winners.
4) Group work: Do a survey and report. Teacher shows how to do a survey and make a report first. Then group1-3 will talk about what they can do and what they can’t do at school. Group 4-6 will talk about what they can do and what they can’t do in the park. After the survey, some group leaders will make a report. Give them comments and reward. 5. Summary
1) Make a chant about what they have learned today.
2) Summarize what else they can do and they can’t do. Give tips for
them: learn to love traditional culture. Learn to be helpful and do what you can do. But remember: You can’t do what you shouldn’t do. Learn to do a survey and make a report. 6. Homework
1) Write down more sentences like this: we can watch flowers, but we can’t pick flowers. / We can eat food, but we can’t waste food. 2) Read one cartoon book by Eric Carl.
3) Enjoy the classic music《Sound of Pipa》(琵琶語).
