一、整體設計思路、指導依據(jù)說明
英語學科的核心素養(yǎng)包括語言能力、學習能力、思維品質(zhì)和文化品格這四個維度,要求在已發(fā)展學生語言能力為核心的前提下提高學生的學習能力、思維品質(zhì)和文化品格。因此,本節(jié)課的教學設計以英語核心素養(yǎng)的四維目標為出發(fā)點,在Kangkang他們?yōu)镕ree the Children籌錢而舉辦國際美食節(jié)的背景下,以“How to prepare a food festival?”為課脈,對本節(jié)課文本進行深入挖掘,我從What food will you prepare?How to make a poster?以及Who will you invite and how to write an invitation三個教學環(huán)節(jié)入手,通過學生自主、合作、探究的教學形式設計以學生為中心的相關活動及內(nèi)容,創(chuàng)設real-life situations和利用mind-map等活動形式來開展任務型的教學模式。同時,力爭運用“Brainstorming”,“Round-Table”和“Think-pair-share”的理念來擴大學生的參與量,培養(yǎng)學生充分掌握各個國家特色食物的基本表達方式;并要求學生能讀懂并解釋海報信息,通過小組活動能夠制作海報;復習有關邀請的句型,能就身邊的活動寫出簡單的邀請函的聽、說、讀、寫能力,同時也注重對學生思維能力、創(chuàng)新能力、合作交流能力以及學習策略的培養(yǎng),從而全面提高學生的綜合語言運用能力。
二、教學背景
一、教學內(nèi)容分析:
Unit 7 Topic 1 主要討論康康和他的朋友們討論籌備美食節(jié)并將所得資金捐給Free the Children組織。本單元的教學內(nèi)容主要圍繞“美食節(jié)”展開,融入了功能項目里社交中的“提建議”、“贊美”和“邀請”等目標語言,倡導學生在學習的同時,學會關心照顧別人以及幫助世界上其他國家需要幫助的人,樹立正確的人生觀和價值觀;主張在了解中國飲食文化的基礎上,了解不同國家的飲食習俗,培養(yǎng)學生正確的健康的飲食習慣。

二、學生情況分析
作為八年級的學生,不管是審題還是心理都處于一個成長發(fā)展的轉(zhuǎn)折點,可塑性大,敢于主動嘗試和獨立追求。在英語的學習上,經(jīng)過七年級和八年級上冊的學習,已經(jīng)基本適應了初中因故的學習方式和過程,也已經(jīng)具備了一定的聽說讀寫的能力,相信本節(jié)課以主動幫助貧困兒童為目的來籌劃一場美食節(jié)為話題,在老師精心設計的相關活動和任務重,他們也一定會積極參與,樂于學習的。
三、教學目標
語言能力目標:
1、學習并掌握新短語come true、in order to... 2、掌握that引導的賓語從句的用法。 3、復習有關邀請的句型和寫出簡單的邀請函。
4、能讀懂并解釋海報信息,通過小組活動能夠制作海報。 學習能力目標:
通過閱讀、討論、探究等活動,能讓學生在課堂中集中注意力,積極思考,能夠在制作海報和寫邀請函兩個任務重,利用已學相關知識、技能和策略做到知識的遷移和輸出,從而全面提高學生的綜合語言運用能力。 思維品質(zhì)目標:
從課堂引入和呈現(xiàn)后的Brainstorming以及課中設置的各種話題討論、完成任務再到課堂上的產(chǎn)生的生成性成果等一系列自主型、合作型、探究型、開放型活動,鼓勵學生培養(yǎng)樂于助人、善于助人的品質(zhì),也能夠積極參與課堂小組合作、培養(yǎng)自己樂觀、自信、樂于合作的優(yōu)良品質(zhì)的同時,也充分地對學生自主獨立思考、發(fā)散想象、批判創(chuàng)新等思維品質(zhì)的培育。 文化品格目標:
了解各國的飲食習慣以及各國代表性美食,了解魁克.柯伯格和他的“解放兒童組織”,了解欠發(fā)達地區(qū)孩子的學習生活狀況。
然后,在交流討論籌備美食節(jié)的過程中拓展思維,讓學生全面了解現(xiàn)有生活的不易,珍惜生活,并積極投身于公益事業(yè),幫助他人。
四、教學重、難點

教學重點:
1.能根據(jù)圖、文就“美食節(jié)”進行籌劃,食物準備,并與同學交流。 2.能運用所學知識寫出一場準備“美食節(jié)”的工作流程,所需要準備的食物,所要發(fā)出的邀請函和海報。
教學難點: 能在老師的引導下運用that引導的賓語從句。

Stage 1:
Warm-up & Lead-in
Step 1: Greeting.
Step 2: The teacher introduces Craig to students.
(Purpose: Create a student-friendly situation to ease students’ nervousness and motivate students’ learning interest)
Stage 2: Pre-learning
Step1: Watch a short video about poor children in China.
T: We know that there are many poor children in Kenya. Kangkang and his classmates want to hold a food festival and raise money to give to Free the Children!
After watching it, how do you feel now? Do you want to help them? Do you want to be a helpful people? And how to help them?Can you give some advice?
S: ….….
Conclusion: Maybe we can hold a food festival.
(Purpose: 觀看poor children in China的視頻,促使學生對貧困地區(qū)孩子的境遇感同身受,引導學生樂于助人,熱心幫助他人,積極思考如何幫助貧困地區(qū)的孩子,最后引出本節(jié)課的課脈How to prepare for a food festival?) Step2. Brainstorm

(Purpose: 通過Brainstorm,讓學生free talk,討論如何準備一場美食節(jié)。)
Summary: Task1 What food will you prepare? Task2 How to make a poster? Task3 Who will you invite and how to write an invitation?
(Purpose: 得出結(jié)論,梳理課脈。準備一場美食節(jié)需要3個步驟,而本課也將圍繞這3個步驟展開。)
If we want to have a food festival, we should finish these 3 tasks. If we want to be a helpful people and make our dreams come true, we must try our best.
Stage 3:
While-learning Task 1 What food will you prepare? Step 1 Guess: What food will I prepare?
Show some pictures of delicious food to attract students, and let students say:I guess that......
(Purpose: 學習較難的新單詞,引導學生掌握賓語從句that的用法。) Step 2 Brainstorming(頭腦風暴):What food will you prepare?
Let students think it over by themselves, then remember more words about words.
(Purpose:Input some words in order to output some sentences. Pay attention to
the key words before making a poster and writing an invitation. )
Task 2 How to make a poster?
Step 1 Read the poster in details and answer the following 5 questions. 1、When will Kangkang and his classmates have the food festival? 2、Where will Kangkang and his classmates have the food festival? 3、Why do they have the food festival? 4、Who wants to help the children in Kenya? 5、What does Craig work for?
(Purpose: 學生獨立完成,仔細閱讀海報,通過做題,感知制作海報時需要注意哪些點。)

Step 2 Discuss: How to make a poster?
Ss: A poster usually gives answers to Wh-questions, i.e. what, when, where, why, who, etc.
(Purpose: 小組合作討論,總結(jié)規(guī)律。)
Task 3 Who will you invite and how to write an invitation?
Step 1 Give an example about an invitation to one of Kangkang's friends. Then let's find some rules. Dear David,
I would like to invite you to the international food festival at Beijing International School at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 16th.We students will cook many delicious international foods and sell them in order to raise money for a village school in Kenya. Hope to see you then!
Sincerely, Kangkang (Purpose: 給出例子,運用不用顏色標記需要關注的重點,讓學生掌握寫邀請函時一定要有的基本信息和邀請函的格式。) Step 2 Your invitation for the Food Festival, like this:

I would like to invite you to the international food festival
at School at a.m. on , May .We students will cook many delicious international foods and sell them in order to raise money for .
Hope to see you then! Sincerely, __________ (Purpose: 給出模板,讓學生可以自由發(fā)揮。)
Stage 4: Post-learning
Group Work: Be a helpful people.
Step1 Try to make a poster and write an invitation.
The group leader should divide your group members into 2 parts, 4 students make a poster and another 2 students write an invitation.And then the leader will be the reporter(發(fā)言人) to show you achievement(成果). Step 2 Practice with the partners.
After each group shows their achievement(成果), you should choose the best one with a smiling face.

(Purpose: 在group leader的帶領下,通過小組合作、探究,開展小組活動,對制作海報和寫邀請函進行口頭和書面創(chuàng)作,對本節(jié)課所學的有關美食節(jié)的詞匯、短語、句子進行綜合運用。訓練學生利用思維導圖收集信息、創(chuàng)新思維、書面表達以及口頭組篇的能力。同時,這樣的活動擴大了學生的卷入量,達到人人有事做,事事有人做。)
Step 3 Summary
When there is someone in need, we should try our best to help others. And then you can be a helpful people!
(Purpose: 運用磁鐵將key words貼在黑板上,最后進行翻轉(zhuǎn),形成一顆心。對成為一個樂于助人的人進行了深入的挖掘,對學生情感態(tài)度和價值觀再度升華。) Step 4 Homework
1、Help the poor people in need, and make your poster and invitation perfect. 2、Find some other proverbs (諺語)about food .
(Purpose: 讓學生完善海報和邀請函,加深鞏固技能。讓學生全面了解現(xiàn)有生活的不易,珍惜生活,并積極投身于公益事業(yè),幫助他人。)
七、教學評價
1、評價內(nèi)容:
對學生學習過程表現(xiàn)、學生個人及小組進行綜合評價。本節(jié)課將從學生獨立思考、積極參與、語言交流、個人思維、課堂目標語的表達和創(chuàng)新程度、小組合作成果等方面對學生和所在的小組進行評價。 2、評價方法:
口頭評價,鼓勵性評價,個別評價,分層評價。
小組評價:每回答一個問題,該小組加1分;上臺展示一次加三分;表現(xiàn)特別精彩另外加1---2分。
統(tǒng)計辦法:分小組計分,課后統(tǒng)計總分。積分最多小組將獲得獎勵。
