使學生在談論如何為別人提供幫助的對話中能意識到盡己所能,幫助他人,樂于奉獻是一種良好的品德,培養(yǎng)學生為他人著想,熱愛公益事業(yè),樂于助人的優(yōu)良品質(zhì)。 二、教學重難點 1. 教學重點:
1) 掌握本部分出現(xiàn)的生詞和詞組,達到熟練運用的目標。
2) 閱讀短文,獲得相關(guān)的信息。通過閱讀練習,來提高閱讀能力。 2. 教學難點:

2.Tell Ss to read the article in 3a quickly and try to find the answers to these questions:

3. What do Mario and Mary volunteer to do?
Ss read the article quickly and try to answer the questions:
方法指導:帶著問題,然后快速閱讀短文,爭取在較短的時間內(nèi),找到答案。 學生們,按老師指導的方法進行閱讀,并快速回答這三個問題。 最后,教師讓部分學生回答答案,并校對答案。 3. 3b: Read the article again and answer the questions. 1. Why does Mario volunteer to help others? 2. Why does Mary volunteer to help others?

告訴學生們本學習活動的要求:用不定式來完成下列句子。 讓學生們讀3d中的內(nèi)容,理解每個句子的大體意思。 根據(jù)短文的內(nèi)容,并恰當?shù)牟欢ㄊ絹硗瓿擅總句子。
如果不能直接填上,可以再去閱讀短文,在相關(guān)的內(nèi)容處,再仔細進行閱讀,
找到相關(guān)信息,并完成句子。

from River High School 為介詞短語作后置修飾語,翻譯時應提前。 to help others 作目的狀語。是“每周拿出幾個小時”的目的。 2. Mario believes it can help him to get his future dream job. 馬里奧相信這會幫助他獲得他的夢想職業(yè)。 help sb (to) do sth. 幫助某人做某事; help后的不定式符號to,可以省略。
e.g. Mike called on his sister to help him look for his lost keys. 邁克叫上他妹妹幫助他找鑰匙。
3. …but I want to learn more about how to care for animals. 但是我想學習更多關(guān)于如何照顧動物的事。
want to do sth. 想要做某事。to 不定式做want的賓語。 e.g. Grandpa wanted to lend us some money to buy a new car. 爺爺想借給我們錢去買一輛新車。
how to care for animals 是復合不定式結(jié)構(gòu),作介詞about賓語。相當于:特殊疑問詞+ to 不定式,構(gòu)成復合不定式結(jié)構(gòu)。(how he could care for animals). e.g. They don’t know where to build the new house. =They don’t know where they can build the new house.
他們不知道在哪里可以建新房。
4. Last year, she decided to try out for a volunteer after-school reading program. 她決定去參加一個志愿者課外閱讀選拔活動。 decide to do sth. 決定去做某事;to不定式做賓語。 e.g. He decided to get married. 他決定結(jié)婚。
5. She still works there once a week to help kids learn to read.
她仍舊在那里一周工作一次來幫助孩子們閱讀。 to help kids learn to read 不定式短語作目的狀語 ; learn to read 是help的賓語。
6. I can do what I love to do and help others at the same time. 我可以做我所喜歡的事情,同時還可以幫助他人。 從句what I love to do 在句子中作do的賓語。 Step 6 Exercises
