Teaching aims: 1. Knowledge aims
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

b. master the usage of the comparative and superlative degrees of adverbs. c. master the step words:first, next, then, after that, finally. 2. Skill aims
a. Students learn to make a sandwich.
b. Students can show and describe in English the process of making a sandwich.
c. Students can practice the skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing as well as thinking while carrying out different activities. 3. Emotional aims
a. Students will be encouraged to have fun cooking.
b. Students will be glad to cooperate with their partners in carrying out the tasks.
c. Students’ interest and love for learning English will be aroused and stimulated by taking part in various classroom activities. Important points:

b. Talk about the cooking process by using adverbs of sequence: first, next, then, after that,finally. Difficult points:

Module 1 Revision
Step 1 Greet the students and get them ready for class. Step 2 Dub the process of making fried rice in pairs. Module 2 Grammar study Step 1 Lead in the structures.
Step 2 Sum up the rules of the comparative and superlative degrees of adverbs. Step 3 Drill: Look at the pictures and match the parts of the sentences. Finish SB-2. Step 4 Task: Compare and decide the “Star Students” in the class. Module 3 Listening and speaking (1a) Step 1 Pre-listening
1. Lead-in. List the names of snacks as many as possible. 2. Brainstorm “ sandwich”.
3. Introduce a background story about sandwiches to help with the students’ culture awareness. 4. Introduce the new words. Step 2 While-listening
1. Ss listen to 1a and answer the questions. 2. Listen to 1a again and finish 1b.
3. Watch the flash of 1a for a better understanding. Step 3 Post-listening

Step 1 Introduce the task of making a sandwich or a hamburger. Step 2 Students work in groups.
