教學目標:
1.能掌握以下單詞和短語:several,strong,feeling,satisfaction,joy,owner,try out,journey,raise,alone。
2.閱讀短文,能按要求找到相應的信息,提高學生們的閱讀能力。
3.進一步復習鞏固學習Section A 部分所學的生詞和詞組,鞏固動詞短語。 4.對動詞不定式的用法進行歸納總結,掌握其規則。
教學重難點:
1.閱讀短文,提高獲得相關的信息的能力。 2.掌握和運用動詞不定式及動詞短語的用法。 3.熟練運用本單元出現的詞組及動詞不定式。 教學內容: 1.短文閱讀與技巧。

本課教學內容是八年級下Unit 2 第二課時,是一節閱讀和語法課。在閱讀部分要訓練學生閱讀技能,通過讓學生找文中的不定式,促使學生認識不定式,強化理解。 教學過程: StepⅠ. Lead in
Leading in 【情景1】
1.Show some pictures about some people who need help,for example,sick people, disabled people,homeless children...Then say:What’s your feeling now?Happy or sad?These people need help;do you want to help them?
T: What can you do to help sick people?
S: I could visit them in the hospital.I’d like to buy them some flowers.I hope to cheer them up.
2.Then ask the students to think of as many ways to help people as possible. T: Many students want to be volunteers.And they also did very well,such as Mario and Mary.
Now let’s read their stories.
[設計意圖] 通過出示圖片讓學生熟悉上節課所學內容進而鞏固上節課學習的內容,為這節課的學習做好鋪墊,順利導入新授。 StepⅡ.Reading activities
Task 1: Read the article fast and find the general idea of 3a. The article is talking about . A.students who volunteer to help others B.the students’ future jobs C.how to be a good student
Task 2:Read the article and answer the questions. 1.What does Mario love? 2.What does Mary love?
3.What do Mario and Mary volunteer to do?
Task 3: Let students read the passage again and write True (T) or False (F) for each sentence.
1.Mario and Mary give up several hours each week to help others. 2.Mary wants to be an animal doctor. 3.Mario is a book lover.
4.Mario could read by himself at the age of five. 5.Volunteering here is a dream come true for Mary.
The teacher should explain the following points to students. Task 4: Read the article again and answer the questions. 1.Why does Mario volunteer to help others? 2.Why does Mary volunteer to help others?
Task 5: Use infinitives to complete the sentences below. 1.Mario would like an animal doctor.
2.Mario works for an animal hospital because he wants about how for animals.
3.Mary decided for a job at an after-school reading program last year.She still works there now kids learn to read.
4.Mary has a dream job because she can do what she loves . Task 6: Retell the article.
