Grammar: the usage of modal verbs “can, have to and must” (How to make an invitation and how to reply politely)
(2)Ability goals:
(A) Learn to use “can, must and have to” to make an invitation and accept or decline the invitation politely.
(B) Train students' listening and speaking skills.
(C) Train students’ communication skills.
(3)Moral goals
Teach Ss to learn to accept or decline the invitation politely. In our life, we should make more friends and value the friendship between us. Also, we are proud of our great country “China is a state of ceremonies.”
2學情分析
The topic of this unit is to talk about our birthday parties. Students mainly learn to how to make an invitation to their friends and also learn some expressions about accepting or declining an invitation politely. Students should learn to make an invitation to their friends and reply the invitation by using modal verbs “can ,have to and must”. They can describe a birthday party and express their feelings.
My students have learned English for a few years, so they have the ability to express their opinions. And, they must be interested in the topic of a birthday party. I believe they can learn new language points easily. But a few students
are so shy that they are afraid of expressing themselves, I can encourage them to speak English bravely.

(2)Say the phrases on the screen quickly.
設計意圖: 以游戲形式復習鞏固詞匯,學生更感興趣,效果更好。
活動3【講授】Step3.Learn the new expression“Can you come to my
Enjoy a video, today is the teacher’s birthday , there will be a birthday party. Then ask: “Can you come to my party?”Look at the expressions on the screen: “Sure, I’d love to.” “I’m sorry, I have to…”.
1. Read the expressions to the class and the students repeat.
2. Say, can you come to my party? Have the S1 give “yes answers” and S2 give “no answers” then give a reason. Ask students to give their own reasons.
3. Pair work,students ask and answer in pairs.
設計意圖: 運用視頻展示使內容形象直觀,提高學生學習的興趣和學習的主動性。

Listen to 2a and 2b, then answer the questions.

3. If we use “he” or ”she” ,we should change “have ” into “has”.
設計意圖:通過講授句型,使學生掌握“Can you +V…?”的句型形式,并做出主語為he or she 的三單形式的答語,
將“have”變為“has”
活動6【活動】Step6. Listening
1. T: Now listen to the recording and write the names next to the correct students in the picture.
2. Play the recording for the first time. Students only listen. Play the recording a second time. Write the
name of each person next to his or her picture.
3. Play the recording again. Check the answers with the Ss. Students answer like this: “Ted can’t go to the party, he has to help his parents…”

設計意圖:鞏固本課所學知識,培養學生小組合作能力,學習來源于生活,又要運用到生活,學生以小組為單位進行調查報告,使學生們的學習能力、知識運用能力得以提高。
活動12【活動】Self-evaluation
I think this lesson is successful. At the beginning of this class, I led in new lesson by a survey for the
students. Students are interested in the survey. I taught my students new language points by using many different
funny pictures ,so they could understand me clearly and mastered new language points well. Most students can finish
the task very well. They can take part in the activities and they could help each other to talk about the language
points , they can speak English bravely ,I’m satisfied with their performance, But there are a few students can’t
take part in some activities bravely and couldn’t speak English loudly. I should use more teaching ways to make
them to take part in some activities actively and finish the English tasks.
活動13【活動】課后評議
王檸棋老師的這一堂課是一節新授課,是一堂清晰實在,動靜結合的英語課。教師以新的課程理念為指導,充分考慮了八年級學生這一年齡階段的特點,在本課的教學設計和組織上注重了以下幾個方面。
1.課堂教學設計理念新:以學生的發展為根本,運用任務型教學方式引導學生積極參與教學活動,在整個過程中實現師生,生生互動,活動內容豐富多彩,接近學生生活,在互動,交流,合作,探究中實施教學。整個過程中教師的角色起了深刻的變化,成了組織者,引導者,幫助者,關注學生學習策略,學習方法,學習態度,以課題為背景,任務型教學Learning by doing 的理念和思路清晣,課堂設計體現了一位優秀教師的先進理念與素質。
2.教學內容的處理上,以教材為基本,但又不拘泥于課本,利用多媒體創設情境,促使學生感悟和體驗教學內容與生活的內在聯系,培養學生語言技能和語言運用能力。教學重難點突出,注意學生在活動中運用知識學會做事,教學內容注意開放性。
3.以對話導入,對學生豐富多彩的周末活動展開調查,所談論內容貼近學生的生活,充分調動起學生興趣。良好的開頭對一堂課的成功與否,起著關鍵的作用。本堂課一開始,使學生的注意力在最短的時間里,被吸引,并快速的使學生參與進來。
4.關注教學方法,體現了一個活字。教師的教學方法靈活,新知識呈現形式多樣。應該說整堂課中,教師在引入新詞時,都是比較具有生活化的。教師還注意利用圖片,身體語言,表情動作等作為教學資源,創設講解,操練和運用英語的情景。王檸棋老師能貫徹以學生為中心的原則,關注教學過程,盡可能發揮學生的主體作用,讓學生真實的去感受知識,體驗知識,積極參與,努力實踐,在活動中學會用語言表達交流,較好的體現了從不懂到懂,從不會到會,從不熟練到熟練的過程。
5.教學活動的設計豐富多彩,有效,練習方式多樣,有師生互動,小組活動,雙人活動,個人活動等等,在活動中突破難點,在活動中發展能力。教師為了鞏固本課的內容,精心設計了多個活動:有視頻,游戲,內容豐富,不但使詞組、句型的操練面廣,練習次數多,尤其令人眼前一亮的是guessing game,大轉盤的游戲活動,轉盤每轉動一次,就會指向不同的短語,學生會更加聚精會神的觀察轉盤的移動,這個環節充分調動學生參與課堂活動的積極性和主觀能動性,構思巧妙,效果明顯。另外,小組活動很好的結合學生的實際生活,設計學生不能參加聚會的小組活動,而且還調動了學生們的參與熱情,與有效的語言實踐有機結合起來。
6.重視情感態度與價值觀的培養。教學過程中培養學生的團隊合作精神,積極調動不同層次學生積極學習,自主學習,積極評價,激發持續的學習熱情,不斷使學生體驗成功,提高學生的自我價值,也注意了個性的培養。
總之,我覺得這堂課不論從課堂設計到課堂實際,從教師教學方法到學生學習方式, 都是值得借鑒的,在課堂教學中發揮了教師的指導作用,突出了學生的主體作用,面向全體學生,關注學生差異,盡量照顧到每一層次的學生,調動了學生的積極性,讓每個學生都盡量參與到教學活動中來,教師為學生創造了寬松、民主的學習氛圍,良好的學習環境。
