一、教材分析
Unit 1 What’s he like?本單元的主題是學習怎樣描述人,內容重要,在實
際生活中實用性比較強。
二、學情分析
本課的教學對象是五年級學生,他們已經掌握了一定的英語詞匯,具有一定的英語學習的積極性與主動性,具備了一定的英語語言運用能力,求知欲增強。因此,在新知識傳授的同時,教師要盡可能多的為學生創造良好的語言環境,給學生充足的語言“習得”機會,讓學生在學習中積極參與、大膽發言,從而形成積極的情感態度和自主學習的能力。
三、教學目標 (一)知識目標
1、能聽懂、會說并認讀下列單詞:old, young, funny, kind, strict.
2、能夠運用句型----what’s he like? -----He/She is...完成基本的問答活動; (二)能力目標
能夠在情境中運用上面的詞匯來描述某人的性格和外貌特征。 (三)情感目標
為學生創設輕松、愉悅、和諧的英語課堂學習氛圍,使學生在學習中敢于開口說英語,珍惜友誼。
四、教學要點分析 (一)教學重點
1.單詞:old, young, funny, kind, strict的認讀。
2.在實際語境中正確運用“What’s he like?”來提問。 (二)教學難點
能夠運用正確的人稱介紹自己的朋友。 五、教學準備

Step 1 Warming-up
Ⅰ Let’s sing a song
課件呈現歌曲: Head, shoulder, Knees and Toes. 師生伴隨歡快的節奏齊做韻律舞蹈。
【設計意圖:激活學生已有的知識儲備,復習關于身體部位的單詞。 ⅡT: Ok, now let’s begin our class, before the class, I will divided you
into four groups. And if you answer my question correctly and actively, then the group will get one point.
T:OK, now let’s see a short video. I will introduce you two new students, listen carefully, who are they? And what do they have? 老師點開課下已經錄制好的學生主演的視頻 T: Ok, stop here, my first question: who are they?
S1: They’re Ziyi and Huiyan.
T: Ok,good,sit down. And what do they have? S2: They have a new English teacher.
T: and the last question: what’s their new English teacher like? S3: She has short hair and she has a pair of glasses.
She is friendly and beautiful.
【設計意圖:給學生錄小情景視頻一來提高學生的積極性,二來也鍛煉了學生的口語表達能力。學生看視頻回答問題激活學生已有的知識儲備,并且同時鍛煉了學生的聽力,對語言的組織能力及口語表達能力】 Ⅲ Guessing time
趁熱打鐵,借助PPT,老師讓學生猜圖片被遮蓋部分的特征。順便復習了在描述人時有可能用到的單詞。Man or woman, long or short, friendly or unfriendly, fat or thin, beautiful or ugly.
Step 2 Presentation
Ⅰ 老師呈現一張自己的照片
T: Do you know her? Ss: It’s you!
T: Yes ,right! Do you think this gril is a beautiful girl? Ss: 學生肯定回答beautiful。那么夸了老師漂亮, T: ok, I think so, thank, I will give you all one point.
T: Today is my birthday, I’m very happy and excited, because many of
my friend will visit me.這時老師點開下一張PPT, and say: shh…listen! Someone is knocking at the door, my first guest has arrived! Let’s open the door together! Ss: Welcome, come in, please!
這時門開了,PPT上出現圣誕老人的圖片 T: who is he?
Ss: He is Father Christmas.
T: what’s Father Christmas like? S1: He has a big bag. S2: He is happy.
S3: He has white hair.
T: Yes, just now, you said Father Christmas has white hair, so I want to say:
He is old!
因此引出新單詞old。之后老師拿出單詞卡領讀,并讓學生起立邊模仿老人走路邊讀單詞old。
ⅡT: Listen, the bell rings, my next guest has arrived. Let’s open the door.
Ss: Welcome, come in, please.
PPT出現了TFboys的照片。
T: who are they? Ss: They’re TFboys. T: What are they like? S1: They are handsome. S2: They’re friendly.
T: They’re my friends, they’re young.
由此引出單詞young,然后老師領讀。之后老師再次拿出old的單詞卡片和學生一起做游戲。
游戲一:I say old, you say young. 游戲二:老師出示old卡片,學生相反說出young單詞。
ⅢT: Listen, the bell rings, my next guest has arrived. Let’s open the door.
Ss: Welcome, come in, please. PPT出現了憨豆先生的照片。 T: who is he? S: He is Mr Bean. T: what’s he like? S1: He is happy.
S2: He is tall and thin.
T: As we all know, he is a comedian, so he is very funny!
由此引出單詞funny,然后老師領讀。師生一塊做不許偷看的游戲:老師先讓一學生出來閉上眼睛,再將funny的單詞卡片藏在一學生桌子里面,然后前面的學生開始尋找,當接近目標物,學生大聲讀funny單詞,當遠離目標物時學生小聲讀單詞,直到引導尋物人找到單詞卡片為止。 ⅣT: Listen, the bell rings, my next guest has arrived. Let’s open the door. Ss: Welcome, come in, please. PPT出現了彭麗媛的照片。 T: who is she?
S: She is Peng Liyuan. T: what’s she like? S1: She is beautiful
S2: She is a little fat but she is very beautiful.
T: She is the mother of all Chinese people. She is kind. 由此引出單詞kind,然后老師領讀。玩大小聲游戲讓學生多次朗讀單詞。 ⅤT: Listen, the bell rings, my next guest has arrived. Let’s open the door.
Ss: Welcome, come in, please. PPT出現了一張警察的照片。 T: who is he?
S: He is a policeman.
T: Yes, a policeman is always strict. 由此引出單詞strict,然后老師領讀。
T: Who can make a face to show us strict.學生上去表演老師會問:what’s he like?
然后學生回答:He is strict.
ⅥT: Ok, now all my friends have arrived, Let’s begin our party, let’s sing and
dance together, Ok?
然后師生一塊跳舞,課件播放If you’re happy.
【設計意圖:通篇以我過生日,朋友來拜訪為線索。課堂的趣味性強,客人到的時候極具神秘感并且客人都是孩子們感興趣的人物,極大的調動了孩子們的積極性。學習每個單詞我都設計了小游戲,這樣不至于陷入只是老師領讀單詞的枯燥。】
Step 3 Practice
Ⅰ Read and Check小游戲
T: 老師指著PPT上面的人物: They’re all my friend, I know them very much,
but maybe they don’t know each other. So today we’ll learn how to introduce your friend to others. Before this let’s review words we have learnt today. If you see a word, maybe a wrong word, please stand up quickly, and if your answer is right, your group will get one point. 老師點開課件和學生一起完成Read and Check 環節。 Ⅱ 老師點開PPT,出現姚明的照片
T: He is also my friend, but I’m so sorry that he is absence today, so I will introduce Yao Ming to my other friends.
Opening sentences(開場句): This is my good friend.His name is Yao
Ming
Appearance description(外形特點):He is …(tall / short / fat / thin
/beautiful / pretty/ strong/ old/ young)
Personality description(性格特征):He is…(happy / quiet / friendly
/unfriendly/ funny/ kind/ strict)
The facial features(五官特征):His…(eyes/mouth/ears) is / are … Personal specialty(個人特長): He can ….well .
T: So we get a short passage here.
This is my good friend, his name is Yao Ming.
He is tall and strong. He is happy, friendly and sometimes he isstrict. He has big ears, big mouth, but small eyes.
Yao Ming is a basketball player, he can play basketball well.
全班齊讀此篇短文。
【設計意圖:由單詞生成句子,再由句子生成小短文,讓些英語小短文不再那么吃力。這樣既體現了小組合作的能力,又讓學生口頭操練了本節課的內容,鍛煉了學生的口頭表達能力。】
Step 4 Consolidation
Ⅰ 小組討論,每一個小組選出自己的模特,小組討論怎樣去描述自己的小模
特。
【設計意圖:由單詞生成句子,再由句子生成小短文,讓些英語小短文不再那么吃力。這樣既體現了小組合作的能力,又讓學生口頭操練了本節課的內容,鍛煉了學生的口頭表達能力。】
Step 5Ending sentences
T: Time flies, It’s time to say goodbye. I’m very happy today. Becuse of you, I
have this unforgettable party. Friends are really very important for me I think.
My friends will listen to me when I want to speak. My friends will laugh with me when I want to laugh My friends will wipe my eyes when I cry.
My friends will take care of me when I'm sick.
It is my friends that make my life filled with sunshine.
Finally, I believe all of us could enjoy a real beautiful friendship in ourlives.
T: All my good friends,goodbye!伴隨著友誼地久天長的輕音樂,老師和孩
子們擁抱后離場。
【設計意圖:此環節擴充孩子的知識,同時老師朗讀學生聽也刺激了孩子們的聽力。老師孩子擁抱離場增進了老師和學生的距離,給孩子們留下難忘的瞬間】
