Cultural Relics教學設計
一、教學內容分析
本單元圍繞Cultural Relics這一話題展開多種教學活動。本節閱讀課主要是介紹琥珀屋的歷史,包括琥珀屋的來歷和建造;為什么普魯士國王將它贈與沙皇;它是如何成為稀世珍寶的;在二戰中的神秘失蹤以及新琥珀屋的重建。通過對本單元的學習使學生了解世界文化遺產,學會描述它們的起源、發展和保護等情況,提高學生對文化遺產的保護意識,強化愛國意識。通過本節課的學習進一步提高學生的閱讀能力以及在閱讀中提取、分析和處理信息的能力。 二、教學目標 1. 知識目標
使學生了解琥珀屋的歷史,并能復述琥珀屋的歷史。掌握并熟練運用本課重點詞匯如 amazing ,fancy ,style ,decorate , remove ,wooden , doubt ,former , less than ,belong to ,in return ,at war etc。
2. 能力目標
提高學生快速閱讀的能力,能使用如預測、略讀、查讀、跳讀等多種閱讀技巧讀懂文章,把握主題,理清文章脈絡。
3. 情感態度目標
使學生了解世界文化遺產的相關知識, 并培養學生保護文化遺產的意識和愛國意識。
三、教學重、難點
重點:提高學生的閱讀能力,如預測、略讀、查讀、跳讀等。
難點:鼓勵學生用英語介紹琥珀屋的歷史以及如何保護文化遺產。 四、學情分析
教學對象是高一學生,認知能力較初中階段有了進一步的發展,也具備了一定的閱讀能力。但是,由于高一學生詞匯量有限,而這節課涉及的生詞較多,人名地名難讀,難免會影響學生閱讀的興趣,甚至會成為學生閱讀時的障礙。此外,本課學習國外文化遺產,有的學生會感到陌生。因此,教師要提前讓學生預習,因材施教,精心準備課件,努力吸引學生主動參與到課堂活動中來。 五、教法分析
利用多媒體教學,由淺入深,由易到難,由已知到未知,循序漸進地深化教學內容。展開以教師為主導,以學生為主體的師生雙邊活動。在教學過程中,教師的基本任務是“導”,即起組織和引導的作用。所以教師注意如何啟發、誘導學生積極主動地參與教學活動,在教學中指導學生閱讀,掌握方法,培養分析問題和解決問題的能力。 六、學法分析
1. 認知策略:指導學生運用已學會的抓重點、做記號等方式,對所學內容進行整理和歸納。 2. 交際策略:創設情境,引導學生通過四人小組進行合作學習,相互探討,相互交流,從而獲得知識、技能和情感體驗,變被動學習為主動學習。
3. 資源策略:布置任務,引導學生主動拓寬英語學習的渠道,即通過互聯網、報
紙等查找所需信息,把英語學習從課堂延伸到課外。 七、教學過程
