Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark.(3a- self check 寫作課)
一. 學情分析
九年二班的學生,在英語方面,學習積極性比較強,英語學習成績在年級處于中上等。通過這一個單元的學習,對于本單元的目標語言已經(jīng)有了系統(tǒng)的學習。因此把本單元所學的重點內(nèi)容系統(tǒng)的進行復習,并讓學生能正確的應用到寫作中去,將是本節(jié)課的主要任務。 二. 教材分析
本課是九年級第四單元最后一課時,單元以我們所發(fā)生的變化(How we have changed)為中心話題,讓學生學會用used to 的相關(guān)句型討論自己和他人從過去到現(xiàn)在在樣貌,性格,興趣愛好方面發(fā)生的變化。本課時是對整個單元所學內(nèi)容的復習鞏固和綜合應用。我將本節(jié)課分成了兩部分,第一部分將圍繞本單元的重點單詞,短語及句型進行整理復習;第二部分將復習內(nèi)容整理成為思維導圖,幫助學生進行寫作練習。 三. 教學目標
1. 知識目標:熟識表現(xiàn)人性格,樣貌,興趣和愛好的詞匯
2. 技能目標:熟練掌握語言結(jié)構(gòu)—used to…的用法,并將其運用到寫作訓練中
3. 情感目標:通過對核心話題—How we have changed的學習,認識到時間的重要性 四. 教學重難點
1. 教學重點:表現(xiàn)性格(outgoing, active, brave, quiet, silent, funny, friendly, humorous, shy…),樣貌(tall, short, straight hair, wear glasses…),興趣愛好的詞匯(paint pictures, music/ P.E. class, be on the soccer team…);Used to…結(jié)構(gòu)的陳述句,疑問句及其簡短回答 (used to do/be; didn’t use to do/be; Did you use to do/be…? Yes, I did. No, I didn’t.)。
2. 教學難點:Used to…結(jié)構(gòu)的陳述句,疑問句及其簡短回答。 五. 教學方法:
任務驅(qū)動法與練習法相結(jié)合。
任務驅(qū)動法是教師給學生布置探究性的學習任務,學生課下先進性自主學習,對知識體系進行整理,課上與其他同學進行交流,最后由教師進行總結(jié)。
練習法是語言的練習。包括本節(jié)課在口頭語言和書面語言的練習,旨在培養(yǎng)學生的表達能力。

多媒體投影,黑板。 七. 教學過程 Step 1 導入
1. 學習目標解讀。由教師對本節(jié)課的學習目標及本單元的核心話題How we have chaged進行解讀。
T:Good morning, boys and girls. Today we are going to learn Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark (3a- self check). We’ll review the unit topic how we have changed through a writing exercise. So now let’s start our new lesson.
2. 課前self-check 檢測。給學生2分鐘,完成練習,由學生核對答案并講解其中的知識點。
T: Time is up. Who want to answer the question first?
S1: The mother traveled for many hours to return home to talk to her child in person. 這位媽媽旅行了很久回到家,為了親自和她的孩子交談。 In person 親自。
S2: He used to be a very quiet teenager. He remained silent most of the time and seldom talked to other people. 他以前是一個沉默的孩子,他大多數(shù)時間都保持沉默,并且很少和別人說話。 Remain silent 保持沉默, seldom 幾乎,很少。

S7: People are usually required to give a general self- introduction in a job interview. 在面試中人們通常被要求進行一個自我介紹。 Be required to 被要求去做,a job interview 一個工作面試。
S8:Tina played very well in the basketball game and her parents were proud of her. 緹娜在籃球比賽中表現(xiàn)的很好,她的父母為她感到驕傲。 Be proud of 為…感到驕傲 Step 2 復習
1. 教師播放本單元重點詞匯及表達方式的快閃視頻,學生進行搶答,并可補充自己在課前總結(jié)的重點內(nèi)容。
T:Now I’ll show you a short video. If you can repeat the words or phrases quickly and clearly, put up your hands. Give us the right answer, and you can get one mark. Go!

2.教師引導學生將上述的詞匯分成兩大類(描述性格和外貌特征)。
T:Now let’s divide these words and phrases into two parts. What are they?
Ss: One part is used to describe appearance and the other part is about personality. 3. 教師啟發(fā)學生如果想描寫一個人還可以從哪方面入手。并完善黑板上的寫作思維導圖。
T:Wow, you are all very clever. But what else can we write to describe a person? Ss:like English, play the piano
T: Yes, we call these hobbies and interests. When we describe someone, we can write these three parts in details.
4. 由描寫changes,引出used to進行use相關(guān)用法的復習。課前讓學生將板書書寫完畢。上臺前來講解use相關(guān)的詞性變化,動詞短語搭配。
T:Now I will ask some of you come here to explain the usage of “use”。
S1: 我們小組總結(jié)的是use的詞行變化,動詞是use,名詞形式是usage,表示用法,形容詞形式是useful 有用的,useless 無用的,副詞是usefully和uselessly.
S2: 我們小組總結(jié)的是use的相關(guān)短語,make good/ full use of 好好,充分利用;例句是 We should make full use of time. 第二個短語是be useful for, 對…來說是有用的。例句是: Exercising is useful for our health.
S3:我們小組總結(jié)的是use的短語 use up 用光,用盡;use…to do, 使用…去做。
5. 教師帶領學生一起復習used to的肯定,否定,一般疑問句及肯否回答的句型,完善黑板上的寫作思維導圖。通過對視頻中的圖片,讓學生四人一組進行強化練習。
T:But if we want to write someone’s changes, which sentence pattern should we use? S1: was/ were …. S2: but now … Ss:..
T: In this unit we learned that “used to do/ be “. Let’s say these patterns together. Ss: used to do/ be
didn’t use to do / be Did … use to do / be..? Yes… did. / No…didn’t.
T: Now let’s play a game together. I’ll show you a video that contains all the pictures of us. Four in a group, describe it by using these four sentence patterns.
Ss: …… Step 3 寫作練習
教師講解寫作游戲規(guī)則:四人一組寫一篇描述人這三年來在外貌,性格和興趣愛好方面的變化,要求使用used to 的相關(guān)句型。五分鐘后進行組間展示,其他小組進行猜測描寫的人是誰。
T:Boys and girls, attentions! Now we’ll have fun together. I’ll give you five minutes and four in one group, write a short passage to describe a person around us. And then we’ll guess them together.
Step 4 總結(jié)歸納
由教師對本節(jié)課的內(nèi)容進行總結(jié),并通過中心話題How we have changed,啟發(fā)學生珍惜時間,努力奮斗拼搏。
T:Today we have learned how to describe a person from three aspects. And we all know that we are changing all the time. Once I saw a sentence on the Internet, it said “Today is the best day in the rest of your life.” So I hope everyone here can treasure every minute, every second in your life.
Step 5 課后作業(yè)
基礎訓練:將課上的作文整理到作文本上。
能力提升:完成練習冊Unit 4 3a-selfcheck的練習。
中考鏈接:用知識樹的形式,梳理所學過的use相關(guān)用法。 八. 板書設計
