a. 生詞: ant, insect. 句型:used to…
b. 通過聽、說訓練提高聽、說技巧;復習鞏固有關外貌、性格、行為習慣及愛好的短語,能夠用used to 結構談論人物過去的特點、描述或詢問過去的情況。
B. 文化品格:通過對相貌、性格、習慣、喜好的今昔對比,感受發生在身邊的一系列變化,學會不斷的自我完善自我發展,培養關愛之心、積極向上的心態,感恩父母、感恩家人。
C.思維品質:通過對相貌、性格、喜好的今昔對比,學會如何正確的評判他人,體會親情的可貴,知道如何以合適的方式感恩父母。 D. 學習能力:

Step 1: Greeting Good afternoon, boys and girls. Welcome to Tina’s class. Today, we’ll come to Unit 4 I used to be afraid of the dark Section B (1a-1e).
設計意圖:教師與學生簡短問候,然后進入本課的學習。
Step 2: Lead in: Would you like to enjoy a song? As the song expresses, everyone is always changing. The first kind of change is in the
appearance. Can you show me some words about it? (Show some colorful cards to share the words about the appearance) Can you guess who she is? Yes, you’re so smart. It’s me. I used to be short but now I am tall. Can you say something about the pictures with used to…but now. Do you think the appearance is the most important? Of course not. We shouldn’t judge a person only by the appearance. We should judge a person by what he/she does. Personality may be more important. Another kind of change is in personality. (Show some colorful cards to share the words about the personality) I used to be lazy but now I am hard-working. Can you say something about the pictures with used to…but now. Besides the change in the appearance and personality, a third of change is in hobby. What am I doing? I like listening to music now. Can you guess what I used to like? I used to like painting pictures but now I like listening to music. 設計意圖: 以聽歌、展示詞匯卡、老師生活照及其他圖片等形式激發學生的好奇心和興趣,復習用used to對外貌、性格的今昔對比,引出學生對喜好變化的表達,同時學會如何正確的評判他人(不能以貌取人)。
Step2: Work on 1a
I like dogs now. But can you guess what I used to like. I used to like ants and other insects. What about you? Among the four things, what did you use to like?
設計意圖:通過談論老師喜好的變化,激起學生對自己喜好變化的表達欲;同時處理新詞ant和insect. Step 3: Work on 1b
What other things did you use to like or hate?Write sentences in the box. Then ask your classmates the question and fill in the chart. Maybe the sentences will help you.(hand out the forms)
設計意圖:在學生自主探究的基礎上,學會與同伴合作對話,進一步用used to…but now表達喜好變化,主動參與語言實踐。 Step3:Play a guessing game
According to the description with used to…now.., try to guess who he/she is. If you can get the answer, just stand up as quickly as possible. I’ll make an example for you.
設計意圖:通過游戲比賽,活躍課堂氣氛,激發學生的興趣,操練句型的同時,讓其從成功人士身上提取正能量,擁有積極向上的心態,提高課堂的有趣性和文化性。 Step 4: Work on 1c
Would you like to be a person like them? If you want to, you must study hard from now on. Do you like your school life? You will listen to a dialogue between a boy and a girl. Can you guess what they will talk about? Maybe the sentences will help you. Let’s read them. Listen and check the sentences you hear.
設計意圖:通過讓學生預測聽力對話的內容,激發他們的好奇心,提高他們的想象力,增加練習答案的準確性。 Step 5:Work on 1d
Listen again. What do the girl and the boy say about things in the past and now? Fill in the chart. Here’s a listening tip for you: just write the first one or two letters of the word while listening and complete it later. 設計意圖:掌握聽說策略,培養提高學生聽說綜合能力。 Step 6: Role play
Have you ever found not only you but also your family have changed a
lot? Work in groups, do the role play: one is the reporter, the others are the interviewees. Talk about the changes in your family.
Parents have given all the good things to you. Now they’re becoming older and older. What should you do? What is family? (Enjoy the video) Please speak it loudly. Father and mother I love you. Please love your parents, love your family.

2. If you can, try making a survey about the changes around you. Find out who has changed most? Maybe the sentences will help you to do the report.
