Can use “be supposed/ expected to do” correctly.
Steps
Step one: Greeting
To greet as usual.
Step Two: Representation
1. To lead-in by playing a video about Chinese volleyball match in Rio, 2016
and some questions to lead ss to speak out China, Brazil, The USA, Korea and India, then T show them the related people of those countries. 2. What are you supposed to do when you meet … for the first time?
As we are all Chinese, so we know if we meet our volleyball team for the first time, we should=are supposed to shake hands.
For other countries greeting customs, I will invite ss to act out, then the other ss guessing what is he or she doing and which country has this customs. Then the ss will practice the sentence patterns together.
Step Three: Role play 2d
1. to set a scene: some foreigners are visiting our class, we are having a
welcome party for them. If you meet them for the first time, what are you supposed to do? How to greet them? Discuss in groups and role play. 2. T asks one or two groups to show in front of the room.
Step Four: Listening 2b.
Maria is an exchange student now in the USA, last night she had a dinner at her friend’s house, what happened? Listen and fill in the blanks.

整堂課的完成還是比較順利的。但在課的開始,學生有一點點緊張,配合度不是很好。在老師的帶動下,后半部分的配合比較好。但是在教授新學的國家與人時,需要多一些手段多練習讀,做到會讀,能用。后來的擊鼓傳花(本想打破傳統的點名方式),有點耗時,學生只沉浸在游戲本身,而忽略了老師“要求”的重點。最后的時候本來設計了小小的“彈性任務”,但由于自己的節奏
掌握的不是很好,沒有按計劃完成。最初計劃:上課老師走到后面,要求學生合上課本,向后轉,(因為后面有聽課老師),面對聽課老師,一起總結今天所學。然后才是完美的結束。
雖然有小小的瑕疵,但是這個努力和準備的過程還是讓我學會了很多,收獲很多。每一次的努力都能督促自己不斷提升,不斷進步。這個過程很重要。
