本課重點學習一些常見國家的英文表達,以及該國在初次見面時的行為與語言, 該話題能激起學生的好奇心,調動學生學習英語的積極性。其中有口語練習和小組活動。內容相對來說較簡單,重點幫助學生練習“be supposed to do” 的用法,在不斷的練習中達到掌握以及熟練運用的目的。
學情分析
初三學生通過以前三年的英語學習,一部分學生有很好的基礎,但有少數學生學習目的不明確,克服困難的決心和勇氣不大。因此在教學中要采取分層次教學,要激勵和指導班上那些學有余力的學生,同時也為那些不善表達的學生提供必要的支持,讓語言不夠流利的學生有足夠的時間理解和操練每一個新語言項目。結對活動和小組活動對各個層次的學生都有幫助。在由不同層次學生組成的對子和小組中,尖子生在幫助后進生的同時自己也復習了所學知識,這是非常有價值的。
教學目標
1. 語言知識目標: 1) 學習掌握下列詞匯: relaxed, value, capital, noon, mad, effort, drop by, after all, get mad, make an effort 2)復習 be supposed to句型。 3)如何正確的閱讀課文。 4)通過閱讀學會寫作。 2. 情感態度價值觀目標:
1)通過“應該” 與“不應該”進一步了解一些國家的禮儀和對時間的看法。 2)了解不同國家的不同的時間觀念, 加強對中國文化的理解。 教學重點與難點
1. 教學重點:
1) 掌握本部分出現的生詞和詞組,達到熟練運用的目標。
2) 閱讀短文,獲得相關的信息。通過閱讀練習,來提高閱讀能力。 3)結合課文進行寫作。 2. 教學難點:
1) 閱讀短文,獲得相關的信息的能力。 2) 理解并運用所學的詞匯及表達方式。 3)會用自己的語言組織寫作。

二、分層監控指導 教師進行分層監控指導。對于學生自學中的疑惑適當進行輔導。
學生如遇到影響繼續自學的疑惑可舉手示意。 三、分層自學檢測 教師監控學生分層自學檢測。 下課前5分鐘,教師出示自學檢測部分的答案。

亮 點
在本節課的教學過程中,我采用了“任務型”的教學途徑,通過小組合作的方式,并借助多媒體,增加趣味性和直觀性,增大課堂容量,提高課堂效率,各個環節由易到難,環環相扣,面向全體學生,爭取讓每一個學生都能參與到教學活動中來,得到練習的機會,教學目標圓滿完成,大部分學生在這節課后能準確流利的使用所學短語以及單詞進行自由會話和寫作。 缺 點
這堂課基本用全英語授課,導致基礎不是太好的學生在理解上有些困難,從而不能很好的聽懂老師的要求,課堂氣氛有時不夠活躍。
改 進 措 施
1.通過教學環節設計使學生對每個環節都比較感興趣,能夠在輕松快樂的氛圍中學習和使用英語,體驗學習英語的樂趣。
2.進一步加強分層教學,使不同層次的學生都能有所收獲和提高。

Tom: Did you have a good time at Zhang’s birthday party?
Linda: Oh, yes. But I was a bit hurt about the way they treated my present. I gave Zhang the latest tapes from the U.K. as a birthday present when I got inside the door and what do you think happened?
Tom: What?
Linda: Nothing. They only said thank you, but then just put them away in a corner. I really didn’t know why. Didn’t they like them?
Tom: Oh, That’s misunderstanding(誤解). In the west, it’s regarded as polite to open gifts as soon as they are given to express appreciation. But in China, if you did that, you might be thought greedy (貪婪的). So Chinese people tend to open the gifts after the visitors have left.
