本課時(shí)是Unit 3 的第5課時(shí),通過前面4個(gè)課時(shí)的學(xué)習(xí),同學(xué)們已經(jīng)比較好地掌握了比較級(jí)的結(jié)構(gòu),變化規(guī)律,并能運(yùn)用比較級(jí)進(jìn)行有效的閱讀,以及口頭書面的表達(dá) 課前準(zhǔn)備Preparations:
a. 教師準(zhǔn)備心形的彩色卡紙,用于學(xué)生活動(dòng):制作朋友圈 Friend Circle b. 布置學(xué)習(xí)英文歌曲: You Raise Me Up
c. 收集同學(xué)們平時(shí)相處的照片,制作成精美的幻燈片

五 教學(xué)過程 Step 1 Warm-up 1、T:Today, we are going to have an interesting lesson about friends. Do you have friends? Ss:Yes! T: Do you make friends with your classmates? Ss: Yes! T: Do you know your classmates well? Ss: Yes! T: What about playing a guessing game? Step 2 Task1: Skimming
T: Match each person with their ideas.
You don’t have to read the passages word by word. Just look them through and try to know the main ideas. ( 同學(xué)開始認(rèn)真閱讀) 一分鐘后請同學(xué)們呈現(xiàn)答案
T: So where did you find the answers? Ss: In the first sentence.
引導(dǎo)同學(xué)總結(jié): The first sentence is very important.. Because it could be the main idea of the passages. Step 3 Task 2: Scanning
T: Just now, we have got the three persons’ ideas about friends. But if we want to know more details about their thoughts, we need to read the passage carefully again.
Now, let’s move to passage 1. ( 請同學(xué)們齊讀三個(gè)問題) Ss: 1. Why does Jeff like reading books and study harder? 2. What are the same points between Jeff and Yuan Li 3. What is Jeff’s idea about friends?
T: To answer these questions, you had better use Scanning. That means try to find the key words in the passages. And these key words could help you to find the right answer. ( 學(xué)生們再次進(jìn)行閱讀 ) 兩分鐘后,請同學(xué)們回答Q1&Q2.
在學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)過程中,教師充當(dāng)指導(dǎo)、助手的作用,讓學(xué)生在自主學(xué)習(xí)中感受到總結(jié)知識(shí)的快樂
通過提示同學(xué)們查找關(guān)鍵詞,使得同學(xué)們能明確閱讀的目的,并能快速找到想要的答案。通過同義引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們找到文章中的關(guān)鍵詞:that’s why, too, together. 并啟發(fā)同學(xué)們用新詞來總結(jié)答案: 同學(xué)們找到的答案為:Jeff is quite. Yuan Li is quiet, too. They enjoy studying together. 通過句子填空,引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們把句子轉(zhuǎn)換為:Jeff and Yuan Li are both quiet. And they both enjoy studying.
T:What’s Jeff’s ideas about friends? Ss: In Jeff’s opinion, a good friend is like a mirror. And good friends are like books:you don’t need a lot of them as long as they are good. T: That’s right. Please look at this sentence: A good friend is like a mirror. Why does he say so?( 學(xué)生困惑中,教師拿出準(zhǔn)備好的鏡子) T:What’s this in my hand? Ss: A mirror. T: When you look at the mirror, what can you see? Ss: Myself! T: Yes! So Jeff can also see himself in the mirror. That could help him to know himself better. Are you clear? Ss : Yes!
Step 4: Task 3: make a friend circle.
T: We just knew Jeff’s ideas about friends. But what I really want to know is your ideas about friends. Can you make sentences just as Jeff does ? A good friend is like_______________ (請同學(xué)們模仿Jeff的句子,造出類似的比喻句) T:But before you go for it, I want to divide you into 8 groups. 3 students are in one group. Here are some lovely cards made by myself. Now each group can get one card from me. First, talk about the sentence in your group. Next, write down one sentence on your group card.. Finally, stick your group card on the blackboard. You can do it in 2 minutes. After doing that, each group choose one student to tell us why do they think so. 寫卡片活動(dòng)結(jié)束后,引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們把寫好的卡片貼在黑板正確的位置上,圍繞成一顆巨大的心形。黑板心形的中間老師寫的是:Friend Circle. 同學(xué)們制作好的句子卡片如下圖所示: T: Wow, what a beautiful Friend Circle you have just made! 布置制作班級(jí)朋友圈的意圖是:希望通過同學(xué)們合作探究完成任務(wù),激發(fā)同學(xué)們的想象力,培養(yǎng)同學(xué)的團(tuán)隊(duì)合作意識(shí)以及學(xué)會(huì)用英語做事情的能力。比如為了圓滿的完成任務(wù),同學(xué)們先要展開討論,然后分工合作。小組之中有的同學(xué)負(fù)責(zé)說,有的同學(xué)負(fù)

Step 5 Read passage2 carefully and fill in the chart
T: Just now, we have learnt that Jeff likes to make friends the same as him. But Huang Lei does think so. He thinks it’s not necessary for friends to be the same. Do you remember it? Ss: Yes!
T: Now, please read passage carefully and help me to fill in the chart. ( 學(xué)生開始閱讀并帶著目的去完成任務(wù))
2分鐘后,請同學(xué)們回答Jeff和Larry的不同點(diǎn)。 教師利用PPT,幫助同學(xué)們梳理正確答案。 如圖所示:
對(duì)于Less hard-working這個(gè)詞組,同學(xué)們感到不能理解時(shí),我的解釋是:
“Less hard-working” is opposite to” more hard-working..”
So “Larry is less hard-working than Huang Lei. “can also turn to be “ Huang Lei is more hard-working than Larry. “
T: So,we know that Jeff and Larry are very different. Then how can they become friends? ( 同學(xué)們開始思考并回答)
教師根據(jù)同學(xué)們各自的回答引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們得出結(jié)論:They bring out the best in each other and help each other.
教師更近一步幫助同學(xué)們加深對(duì)文章的理解:different friends can help us in different ways. We can also learn a lot from each other. This can help
通過布置表格任務(wù),引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們抓住重點(diǎn):既找到Larry和HuangLei不同點(diǎn)。 通過反義詞的解釋和句子轉(zhuǎn)換,幫助同學(xué)們突破Less hard-working的理解難點(diǎn)

Step6 Sing a song and complete the sentences
T: The friendship between Larry and Huang Lei makes me think of a song. The song is called You Raise Me Up. So do you want to have a rest and enjoy the song with me? Ss: Yes! ( 教師開始播放音樂視頻) 在總文件夾中可觀看音樂視頻
T: I think it is not difficult for you to sing along with the song. So I hope you can just sing it loudly with me.
學(xué)生前一部分靜靜欣賞,后面高潮的副歌部分開始和老師一起唱 學(xué)生欣賞完歌曲后
T: Do you like the song? Ss: Yes!
T: Me too! I think it is a good song about the love between family, lovers and of course friends! And here “raise me up” also means “bring out the best in me” Do you agree? Ss: Yes!
T: And I also make a little change of the lyrics. Can you help me to finish the sentences? Ss: Yes!
教師開始陳現(xiàn)與歌詞副歌部分相關(guān)的圖片,請同學(xué)們根據(jù)回憶以及圖片幫助老師把句子補(bǔ)充完整。 圖片如下:
運(yùn)用英文歌曲,幫助同學(xué)們更深入的理解文章。并能更好地理解詞組:bring out the best in me 以及 raise me up 的含義。和老師一起唱完歌曲后,運(yùn)用圖片設(shè)置情境,引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們回憶起歌詞。目的一是感受英語歌詞之美。目的二是為了引起同學(xué)們情感上的共鳴,帶領(lǐng)同學(xué)們感受真正的友情之美。Step 7 Read passage 3 and answer the questions
T: So boys and girls, do you have the friends who can bring out the best in you or raise you up? Ss: Yes!
T: Lucky you! And I know a girl named Mary Smith. She also have such a good friend. Let’s see what she is saying. Please read the passage 3 carefully and answer the questions.
1. What is Mary Smith’s favorite saying?
2. What is a true friend like in Mary’s eyes?
( 同學(xué)們開始閱讀并回答) 在總結(jié)Mary眼中的True friend的時(shí)候,同學(xué)們有些缺乏條理性。 為了更直觀的幫助同學(xué)們總結(jié),我設(shè)計(jì)了以下圖示: 引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們從五官以及心靈去總結(jié)Mary眼中的True friend. 在引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們說出正確答案后,又請同學(xué)們和老師一起一變做手勢,一遍用英語表達(dá)True friend 的含義
為了讓同學(xué)們更好地理解詞組:reach for your hand 以及 touch your heart. 我運(yùn)用了多張圖片以及手勢相結(jié)合幫助同學(xué)們理解。
在同學(xué)們覺得總結(jié)困難時(shí),運(yùn)用一張手勢圖,引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們從各個(gè)感官去總結(jié)朋友的含義。跟著老師邊說英語
邊做手勢,帶領(lǐng)同學(xué)們在學(xué)中做,做中學(xué)。體驗(yàn)學(xué)習(xí)的快樂。
Step8 Discussion: What’s your idea about friends? T: let’s review what we have learnt today!
We have learnt that different people have differ ideas about making friends 1. Jeff thinks friends should be the same
2. Huang Lei thinks it’s not necessary for friends to be the same
3. Mary Smith doesn’t care if they are the same or different as long as they are true
friends.
So now, I really want to know about your ideas: Do you think friends should be the same? Why? Do you think friends should be different? Why?
( 并引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們回憶總結(jié)表示觀點(diǎn)的幾種表達(dá)法:in my eyes, from my point of view…….
( 教師給予同學(xué)們3-5分鐘的討論時(shí)間) 五分鐘后,學(xué)生呈現(xiàn)

經(jīng)過大量的輸入后,同學(xué)們已經(jīng)有了想表達(dá)自己觀點(diǎn)的愿望。通過和同學(xué)們討論,又能產(chǎn)生新的思想的火花。在同學(xué)們表達(dá)之前,引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們回憶總結(jié),教師呈現(xiàn)有關(guān)表達(dá)觀點(diǎn)的詞匯,幫助同學(xué)們用英語進(jìn)行更地道的表達(dá)。
Step9 Homework
T:I’m afraid we don’t have enough time for everyone to share the idea with us. So I leave it as your homework. Write a composition about your friend. 1. What does your friend look like?
2. What is your friend like
3. What are the same points between you?
4. What are the differences between you?
5. Is he/ she your true friend? Why?
通過本堂課的學(xué)習(xí),考核同學(xué)們對(duì)本單元重

Step 10 : Enjoy an English Poem: Friends

教學(xué)反思:
本次教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)是以培養(yǎng)學(xué)生英語的閱讀技巧思維、學(xué)生語言交際能力為中心的教學(xué)過程。課堂教學(xué)諸環(huán)節(jié)條理清晰,目標(biāo)明確,層層遞進(jìn)。既體現(xiàn)出課堂標(biāo)準(zhǔn)中側(cè)重培養(yǎng)學(xué)生閱讀能力的要求,又兼顧了說、讀、寫全面發(fā)展的教學(xué)原則。在循序漸進(jìn)的教學(xué)過程中,學(xué)生學(xué)會(huì)熟悉課文的整體篇章結(jié)構(gòu)、課文內(nèi)容和新的語言知識(shí)。同時(shí),學(xué)生通過獨(dú)立分析文章和理解文章,推理和判斷能力增強(qiáng),對(duì)詞匯及語言形式的理解、積累與運(yùn)用能力也增強(qiáng)了。
在學(xué)習(xí)策略中,引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們體驗(yàn)不同的學(xué)習(xí)方式:比如模仿造句,改編歌詞,用英文做手語,欣賞英文小詩等方式持續(xù)激發(fā)同學(xué)們的學(xué)習(xí)熱情。
在教學(xué)策略中,運(yùn)用多媒體,實(shí)物,以及自制卡片,引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們進(jìn)行合作探究,共同完成教學(xué)設(shè)計(jì)中的任務(wù),突破難點(diǎn)。
在情感教育中,潛移默化地滲透健康陽光的擇友觀念。引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們尊重人與人之間的異同,互助友愛。
但是,在實(shí)際教學(xué)中,感覺到有些設(shè)計(jì)還是不夠理想。
在同學(xué)們討論自己的擇友觀時(shí),應(yīng)該先請同學(xué)們進(jìn)行回憶,然后自我總結(jié),老師最后補(bǔ)充。而不是教師直接呈現(xiàn)。
在文化意識(shí)層面,可以多收集世界其他青少年的交友選擇的資料,幫助同學(xué)們了解其他國家的一些交友文化,培養(yǎng)同學(xué)們的跨國際意識(shí)。
在情感教育方面, 可以在后期引導(dǎo)同學(xué)們思考,自己如何成為更好的朋友。
