2.Sing a song.Have the students sing ABC song.

1.Let the students recite the letters from Aa to Rr.one by one. 2. Look at the letters on the screen and read together then write down the words they find in the letters one by one . 3.Group work.

T: Can you remember these words of 4b? Read them, please.(Ask three students to read the three lines of words.)
Now, let’s say these words according to their first letters .If the first letter is A, we read the word first. For example, Alice, then Bob and..Get the students to number the words 1—15..
Step 4: Listen,repeat and rank. 1. Letters.
Show the international phonetic alphabet of /ei/,/i:/,/e/ and the letters we learned to students ,and let them listen and repeat the pronunciation one by one,then ask: Can you find out the similar pronunciation in these letters? Get the students to discuss in groups. Help the students to find the rules of pronunciation.
2. Practice.(Play a game.)
T:Now let’s play a game, Which letters have sound / ei /,/i:/or/e/,please put the letters with the similar pronunciation in one group.Ask a few students to finish on the screen.Then check the answers together.
Step 5.4c. listen and repeat 1.Listen and repeat.
Show the international phonetic alphabet of the letters A,E,I,O ,play the tape.let the students listen and repeat the pronunciation of them.then read the words.After reading Aa ,ask the students why the letter Aa has different sounds in different words.Help them to review the open syllables and closed syllables.Let the students understand in open syllables and closed syllables,the letters A,E,I,O have different sounds.
2.Practice.(Play a game.)
Now let’s play a game “Where should I go?”look at the screen,which words have the similar pronunciation. Please put them in right places.
Step 6. Practice (4d)
Have the students look at the letters and words in Column 1 of 4d.Read them out and then try to read the new words in Column 2 .When they read,let them say the different sounds in different letters and the words.
Step 7.Say and chant (Summary)
Show the say and chant to students,let them read together to sum up
the rules of pronunciation of Aa Ee Ii Oo
Step 8. Exercises
T:Please look at the exercises on the screen and finish them.

1. Listen and read 4c,4d fluently.
