Starter Unit 2 What's this in English? （3a—3e）教學設計
Learning aims 知識目標
1. 詞匯：spell, please等。
2. 句型： -- Spell it, please. / How do you spell it?/ Can you spell it? -- K-E-Y, key. 能力目標
能夠熟練運用所學句型，辨認物品和拼寫單詞。 Difficulties ：
1. 拼寫單詞的相關句型
2. 字母i, o在開音節和閉音節中的讀音規則 Teaching steps Step 1.Warming-up
Game: Magical box： Get one of the student choose one picture or real object in the box, he only can use his body language, let the others guess what it is. Using:—What’s this in English?—Is it a/an…?—Yes / No.
【教學設計說明】在游戲中復習：What’s this? It’s a / an.... 句型 （強調a / an的用法） 學生們在充滿趣味性的情境中一遍遍加深對所學句型的記憶。游戲豐富了學生的想象力，有效激活學生的探究欲望，符合學生的心理特點。 Step2 listening practice （3a, 3b）
Play the recording for the first time. Students listen and number the pictures; Play the recording for the second time，let them Complete the words under the pictures. Finally ask students to read them aloud.
【教學設計說明】第一步按照圖片提示來做，難度不大，訓練學生的注意力，留下一種總體印象；第二遍難度加大，訓練學生的反應度，兩遍有層次的聽力練習為后面單元的聽力練習養成良好的聽力習慣打下基礎。最后要求同學們讀單詞并強調a / an的用法. 在訓練學生聽的能力的同時，引出下面活動中的句型，自然的過渡到下個環節。
Step 3. pairwork
(1) Listen and get the students to repeat the conversations。
(2) 教師與學生配合示范編對話。在示范中引導講解拼寫單詞句型。 （3）學生與同伴仿照編隊話，并且小組起立進行對話表演。
【教學設計說明】這個活動學生先聽后說，先讓學生感知，產生疑問然后講解再配合練習，符合學習規律，幫助同學們在思考中學習。
Step4 Groupwork： Talk about the students’ bedroom. Ask and answer in group. Encourage them to use new words.
（1） Talk about the things in the picture of 3e. （2） Drew a simple picture of your own bedroom.
（3） Talk about it using –What’s this in English? --It’s… —spell it, please. —… （4） Show the picture and act the conversation to the class.
【教學設計說明】鍛煉學生掌握小組合作的規則，幫助他們養成合作學習的習慣。先通過實例為學生做好示范在小組的和諧配合下，充分發揮想象，自己畫圖，讓觀察生活，熱愛生活，。學生運用所學知識談論實際問題，為學生創設了自然運用知識的機會。 Step5 Summary What have you learned？
