教學目標
1.知識與技能
?1)能掌握以下單詞、短語:talented, truly, care, care about, be different from, the same as,
be similar to, be talented in.
2)能掌握以下句型: I think a good friend makes me laugh.
For me, a good friend likes to do the same things as me.
And a good friend is talented in music.
3)能用英語對人物的外表進行描繪, 個性進行比較,能描述自己的好朋友。
2.過程與方法
采用任務型教學法,用Groupwork、Pairwork的學習方式,利用圖片、聽力材料等來展開課堂教學。詞匯教學——采取情景描寫或演示對比的方式進行教學,讓學生在情景中操練、理解含義,并學會運用; 聽力教學——采取聽,填表的方式; 口語教學——采取Pairwok、Groupwork 的口語交際活動形式進行操練。
3. 情感態(tài)度價值觀
了解人與人之間的差異性,了解自己對朋友的看法: 通過和他人的比較,培養(yǎng)學生正確選擇朋友的能力。
2學情分析
? 本節(jié)課以交友的話題為線索,展開對好友標準的討論及朋友之間的對比,是學生熟悉且感興趣的話題。八年級學生已經學習過一些描述人物的簡單形容詞, 如tall, short, fat, thin等,學生需學會對不同人物進行比較。學生需了解自己對朋友的看法,明確自己需要什么樣的朋友,學會與朋友友好相處,培養(yǎng)樂觀、積極向上的性格。該年齡段的學生有很強的記憶力和模擬能力,但知識的拓展和運用能力有待培養(yǎng),所以我就設計各種任務型的課堂活動讓學生人人都能參與活動, 增強他們的學習積極性和學習自信心,教會學生創(chuàng)造性地使用所學知識運用于實踐。

1. 掌握本課出現(xiàn)的生詞及表達方式。
2. 進一步練習運用形容詞比較級的句子來描述他人個性特征。

活動1【導入】Warming-up and revision
?
1. Sing a song" The more we get together" with students and get them warmed up.
2. Compare famous people. Show some pictures of some famous people and compare them.
E.g. Zhao Wei's eyes are bigger than Zhou Xun's.
Liu Yifei has longer hair than Yangmi.
Sun Nan is thinner than Han Hong.
Han Hong is heavier than Sun Nan.
Zhao Benshan is funnier than Bai Yansong.
3. Fun time.
1)Tell students to compare the classmates one by one like this:
S1(to S2): I'm more outgoing than you.
S2(to S3): I'm younger than you.
S3(to S4): I'm funnier than you.
S 4(to S5): I'm ... than you.
2) Ask some groups to say the sentences one by one.
活動2【講授】Presentation
?
1. Show the picture of two good friends(Li Yundi and Wang Lihong)and teach the words and
phrases: talented, be talented in, truly, care about.
2. Work on 1a. What kind of things are important in a friend? Rank the things below [1-7]
(1 is the most important.)

3. Groupwork.
Work in groups and discuss what kind of things are important in a friend. Choose the three

B: For me, a good friend likes to do the same things as me.

2) Show the teacher's views about what a good friend should be like.

1. Work on 1c. What do Molly and Mary like about their best friends?
Fill in the first column of the chart.
2. Work on 1d. Listen again. How are Molly and Mary the same as and different from
their best friends? Complete the rest of the chart.
3. Have students read the tapescript together.
活動4【活動】Pairwork and guessing game
?
1. Pairwok. Talk about Molly and Mary and their best friends.
A: Molly studies harder than her best friend.
B: Well, Mary and her best friend are both tall.
2. Play a guessing game.: Who's my best friend?
Have students describe their best friends like this: My best friend is a boy/girl. My best friend is...
than me. She/ He has ... than me.We are both... Who is she/he? Have the other students guess.

1. Show some pictures about friends and let students tell whether they are good friends or
bad friends.
2. Show some sentences on the screen and have students tell if he is a good friend.
1) When you fight with others, he helps you to fight.
2) When you are tired, he does homework for you.
3) When you are thirsty, he gives you a cup of tea.
4) When you are sad, he comforts you.
5) When you don't know the answers in the exam, he gives you the answers to copy.
3. Teach the students the sentence: A friend in need is a friend indeed.

活動8【作業(yè)】Homework
Write about you and your friend.
What do you like about him/her? Write about the same things and the diffferences between you
