Step One: Duty report and revision.
Review the key vocabulary and the target languages we have learned. T prepares some pieces of paper, let S choose one of them and act out the activity that is written on the paper, other Ss guess what he/she does. Can you …? Yes, I can. / No, I can’t. Do you like …? Yes, I do. / No, I don’t. I like…
Step Two: Fast-reading of 2b.
I. T shows some posters of ads. Let Ss guess what they are and what kind they are. (Want Ads)
II. T: I have three Wand Ads, but they don’t have the title. Please read them quickly, and match the titles with the ads.
Question: How to find the title quickly? (Find the key words.) Let Ss find the key words of these three ads. (Train Ss’ reading skill----skimming.) Step Three: Careful-reading of 2b.
I. Let Ss listen to the passage carefully, and point to the passage while they’re listening. Please focus on the pause and the intonation. II. Listen and read with the demonstration of reading. III. Group work.
Let four Ss work in a group, they need to finish the following targets. 1. Try to understand the meanings of these three ads. If they have any questions, they can ask the teacher for help.
2. Answer the following questions. (Just let Ss listen to the questions.) (1). If you want to help old people, what telephone number can you call?
(2). If you want to help with sports for English-speaking Ss, who can you call?
(3). When does the school need people to help teach music to Ss?
3. Know the ads well one by one. (1). Read the ad.
(2). Fill in the blanks according to the ad. (3). Understand the key phrases. (4) Answer the questions. Step Four: Activity 2a.
I. T: We have read 3 ads, now there are 3 applicants in 2a, please find their names quickly. (Peter, Ma Huan and Alan.) II. Read with the demonstration of reading.
III. Ask Ss to read the personal description by themselves. Then underline the things the applicants can do, and circle the things they like to do. IV. Check the answers one by one.
V. Let Ss fill in the chart using the information in the passage without the book. (Let Ss try to retell these 3 applicants.) VI. Match each person in 2a with an ad in 2b. Step Five: Discussion.
Topic: If you want to find a job, tell your partner the following things: 1. What can you do?
2. Which ad are you interested in?
Look at the model report. Notice the key phrases ( can, like doing, be good at, I think…) Step Six: Homework.
1. Write the new vocabulary in P5. 2. Finish your own report.
Thinking: If you want to write an ad, what information do you need to notify?

Reflection after the class:
本課的設(shè)計初衷是先熱身,復(fù)習(xí)我們學(xué)過的重點(diǎn)句子和短語,通過表演和猜測的方式引起學(xué)生的興趣。然后講授2b,讓學(xué)生明白什么是廣告,尤其是招聘廣告,在閱讀的時候注重閱讀技巧的應(yīng)用,包括skimming 和 scanning. 同時在閱讀的時候強(qiáng)調(diào)了招聘廣告的重點(diǎn),為下一課時的寫作奠定基礎(chǔ)。之后再提出2a里的三位學(xué)生,不過轉(zhuǎn)變了角色,變成了應(yīng)聘者,和2b有機(jī)地結(jié)合了起來,不會顯得唐突。對2a主要是提出應(yīng)聘者的能力和愛好,然后再跟2b的廣告聯(lián)系起來,同樣也是為了凸顯招聘廣告的重點(diǎn)所在。最后通過討論和作業(yè)的設(shè)計讓學(xué)生復(fù)習(xí)本課學(xué)到的內(nèi)容以及為下一課時的寫作打基礎(chǔ)。整堂課的
設(shè)計很完整,沒有按照書上的步驟,而是根據(jù)教學(xué)重點(diǎn)做了調(diào)整,更有利于突出重點(diǎn),并讓學(xué)生掌握廣告的特點(diǎn)。這也是閱讀教學(xué)不僅僅只關(guān)注于課本,而是要聯(lián)系實(shí)際,擴(kuò)大學(xué)生的視野和知識面,并為寫作練習(xí)奠定良好的基礎(chǔ)。
