Ⅰ、Teaching Aims and Demands: 1. Knowledge Objects:
Words: opinion, skill. Typical, cut out, quick, continue, compare …with, crazy, push, development, cause, usual. Structures:
The tired children don’t get home until after 7:00 pm.
Many of them are leaning exam skills so that they can get into a good high school and later a good university.
Although it’s normal to want successful children, it’s even more important to have happy children.
2. Ability Objects:
(1) Train students’ reading skill: guessing the meanings of new words from the context.
(2) Encourage students to talk about after-school activities and express their own opinions about them.
3. Moral Objects
Get students to know after-school classes have both advantages and disadvantages ,if we know clearly why we have them and choose the classes we like, they will be good for our development. 2學情分析
本課圍繞“課外班”這一話題展開,非常貼近學生生活實際,同時八年級學生也具備了一定的英語表達能力,教師應該創設合適的活動以給學生充分的機會去表現。 Ⅱ、Teaching Key and Difficult Points 1. Learn to express one’s opinions.

設計意圖: 通過觀看學生排演的小品了解上補習班的目的,也就是第一段的主要內容.寓教于樂,同時,當學生知道他們的偶像也在上課外班來實現自己的夢想,就會對課外班有一個更深刻的認識,為實現本課的情感目標埋下伏筆。
2.Watch a video about 3 parents’ opinions of after-school classes.
設計意圖:通過本班三位家長談論自己對課外班的看法,在無形中向學生展示了文章后三段的重點句子。當學生看到自己的父母居然也能說一口流利的英語時,驚訝中更加深了對重點句子的印象。 Step 2: skimming
Skim the article and answer the questions in 2b. 設計意圖:學生略讀課文,了解寫作意圖。 Step 3: Guessing the Meaning
Teach students to guess the meaning of the new words according to context. Then finish 2c.
設計意圖:掌握新的閱讀技巧,提高閱讀能力。同時學生利用猜詞法自己習得了新單詞,既有趣又提高了自學能力。 Step 4: scanning
Work out the main structure of the article.
設計意圖:縷清文章的結構,提煉文章的主要內容。 Step 5: careful reading
Read each paragraph and learn the main sentence patterns.
設計意圖:掌握重點句型,更好的理解文章。 Step 6 :summary
Summarize the useful structures to express one’s opinions.
設計意圖:總結本節課所學的表達觀點的常用語,為下一步的辯論會打好基礎。 Step7: Let's debate!
設計意圖:為了幫助學生掌握本節課的重點——學會表達觀點,最適合的活動就是辯論會。課前我準備了一些談論課外班的英語文章,提前發送到學生的pad上供他們參考,學生也可以上網查找不會的單詞等.最后,利用云教學平臺的點贊功能,選出獲勝方,進行評價。充分利用現代化手段,降低活動難度并提高學生學習興趣。 Step 8: Conclude the debate.
After-school classes have both advantages and disadvantages ,if we know clearly why we have them and choose the classes we like, they will be good for our development. Step 8:Homework:
