Teaching procedures
Step 1. Greeting and warm-up.
T: Hello, everyone, how are you today? I am fine , thank you. OK, today we are going to learn Unit 3 I’m more outgoing than my sister. These are our teaching aims , and i hope in this class, you can learn how to describe your best friend with comparing sentences.
At first, let’s enjoy a song. Please listen carefully and guess who are they . OK, who are they? Yes, they are TF boys. This is Kai and this is Yuan. Can you describe them? For example , you can describe them from the height, so we can say , Kai is tall and Yuan is short. Great , now let’s make a sentence with comparative words. Kai is taller than Yuan。 Yes , very good. Now how about the build? We can say Kai is thin , and Yuan is thin, too. So Kai is as thin as Yuan . How about their hair? Kai has short hair and Yuan has short hair too. But kai has shorter hair than Yuan. Step 2. Pre-writing
Task 1. Brain storm.
So if we want to describe two person , we can describe them from these aspects. For example , from the height, the build, the hair , the personality and the hobby. So can you find more descriptive words for people? Please take out your learning paper and finish task 1. I will give you 3 mins. OK , time is up. Let’s check the answer. Now it’s your turn now. please write a passage about you and your best friend. You can compare you and your best friend from five aspects, for example, the height and so on.
