Important points:
1. discussion, stand,, may, expect, joke, comedy 2..Make conversations with the target language.

---- What do you think of ... ? ----I can’t stand them. ----I don’t mind them.
----I like/love them. / I don’t like them. Difficult points : Infinitive as object
Aims of emotion
Help students learn the useful knowledge from the TV shows.
Help students to learn how to talk about their preferences and how to make plans.
Teaching procedure Step 1 Lead-in
Free talk
Do you like watching TV? What’s your favorite program? Why?
Step 2 Work on 2d
1. According to the picture about Grace and Sarah , ask students to predict what they were talking about.
2. Read the conversation together for the first time , and then ask students to work in pairs and role-play the conversation. Then check whose prediction is right.
3. Ask students to underline the words and phrases which are used to express their likes and dislikes.(e.g. like , love, can’t stand , don’t mind, my favorite ) .
4. Show a table which is about Grace’s and Sarah ’s attitudes to different TV shows. Ask students to fill in the table with the words and phrases .
5. According to the table , ask students to retell the conversation . 【設計意圖】
該對話的語境是兩個學生談論不同電視節目類型,并練習了談論喜好和表述原因的句型,讓學生兩人一組進行角色扮演,模仿語言,之后通過表格以及復述的形式幫助學生理解對話內容,同時鍛煉學生口語表達能力。
Step 3 Grammar Focus
l.Have some students circle the infinitives in the conversation and point out the infinitives are used as objects.
2.Show three tiny conversations about the infinitives , and ask some students to find them . Summarize the infinitives here can be used to make plans .( e.g. want/hope /expect/ plan to do ) 【設計意圖】
通過學生自己觀察句型, 總結知識點,并加以練習,鞏固目標句型。
Step 4 Work on 3a
1. Ask students to make a conversation and then practice it with his /her partner. Then
ask several pairs to show their conversations. A: What do you plan to watch on TV tonight?
B: I hope to____________________ , but I also want to__________________. How about you? Do you __________________a talk show or _________________? A: Oh, I want to ________________________
【設計意圖】
該活動主要考查動詞不定式的使用, 同時復習了不同電視節目的名稱,為了降低學生
完成活動的難度,教師先進行了示范,之后學生模仿。
Step 5 Work on 3b
Play a game . Imagine you are a reporter,and you can interview any student in your group. So give students three minutes to write down the answers to the following questions. Then ask several students to show it. 1. Do you plan to watch ... show tonight? ? _____________________________ 2. What do you think of ... ? _____________________________

【設計意圖】
這是一個采訪形式的調查活動,通過詢問同伴近期是否打算看某種電視節目,鞏固動詞不定式的使用。

Group work . Make a survey about your classmates what TV shows they hope/plan/want/expect to watch?

教學反思
本節課包括Section A 2d -3c 的內容,在上節課能熟練表達不同電視節目名稱之后,進一步談論喜好、制定計劃、闡述原因,以此達到拓展話題范圍,鍛煉學生綜合運用英語的能力。語法方面,動詞不定式作賓語的結構并不復雜,但學生需要關注不定式前的動詞,這些動詞是使用不定式的顯著標志。目前,學生可以以本單元出現的不定式為學習重點,以感知和體驗為主,在此基礎上逐步學會運用。
