I. Analysis of the Teaching Material
本課中心話題是“談論個人的打算,及對某事物的看法意見”,具體涉及電視節目,時尚流行,以及學生圍繞電視節目和時尚飾品談論不同程度的喜好,并發表見解。語言技能和 語言知識集合都是圍繞“喜好”這一中心話題設計的。 II. Teaching Aims and Demands (教學目標) 1. Knowledge objects(知識目標):
Vocabulary: discussion; stand; happen; may; expect; joke; comedy. Target language:
Do you want to watch the news? Yes, I do./No, I don’t.
What do you plan to watch tonight? I plan to watch Days of Our Past. What can you expect to learn from sitcoms? You can learn some great jokes. Why do you like watching the news?
Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world. What do you think of talk shows?
I don’t mind them./I can’t stand them!/I love watching them! 2. Ability objects(能力目標):
1). Students will be able to discuss their preferences. 2). Practice students’ reading and speaking skills.
3. Moral object (情感目標):Ss will learn to share their preferences to each other.. III. Teaching Key Points and difficulties(教學重難點) Key Points(重點): Words and target language.
Difficulties(難點): The usage of the infinitive(掌握動詞不定式結構做動詞的賓語這一語法知識;掌握后面接動詞不定式做賓語的動詞。) IV. Teaching Aids (教學用具) multimedia , PPT.

學習運用所學的知識來陳述自己的看法并且能簡單談論自己喜歡的流行文化,各類電視和電視節目的名稱。

Step.1 Warming up and review. Ask and answer questions about the different shows. What does Jack think of talk shows? Why? He likes talk shows.

Step2. Fun Time
Watch a video and answer the questions 1.What’s the name of the movie? 2.What kind of movie is it? 3.What’s the movie about?
4.What do you think of it?/How do you like it?

Work on 2d Listening task and speaking task.
1.Learn new words.
2.Listen to Grace and Sarah ’s conversation. Then match the persons with their favorite shows.

3.Practice the conversation with their partner. Then let some pairs to act out the conversation.
T:While listening, you need to imitate the pronunciation and intonation.
Have a competition to 2d, role-play the conversation. Then choose the first, the second,and the third.
Step4. Grammar
1.Watch a video of the infinitive.
2.Practice some questions of the infinitive and ask students to answer them.
eg. What kind of movies do you want to watch tonight?
S1: I want to watch…
What kind of movies do you plan to watch tonight?
S2: I plan to watch…
What kind of movies do you expect to watch tonight?
S3: I expect to watch…
Students need to know about the usage of the words “let” “help”
大屏幕出示常見的跟動詞不定式做賓語的動詞和同學們一起對答案。
【拓展】省略to 的不定式 有些動詞后面跟動詞不定式時應將不定式符號to省去。常見的動詞有let, make, feel, help, watch, hear等。同時讓學生通過此活動掌握更多的自己喜歡的電影名稱。
Step 5 Work on 3a:Practice 1. Tell Ss to read the conversation in 3a and try to underline the infinitives. 2. students make their own conversations.

Work on 3b: Extend practice 1. Read the questions and understand them.
2. Answer the questions that are true for you.

2. Ask your partner questions and write the answers. 3. Report.

常見的跟動詞不定式做賓語的動詞: 想要 want, 期望 expect, 希望hope, 計劃plan, 決定decide ,開始begin,開始start 動詞后面跟動詞不定式時應將不定式符號to省去。常見的動詞有let, make, feel,
help, watch, hear

2.Look up (查閱) your favorite movies and write them down.
