Unit1 Can you play the guitar?
The first period
應用創(chuàng)新點:
本課教學運用了多媒體技術(shù),教師能巧用課件,創(chuàng)造意境,實現(xiàn)教學形式的多樣化,學生能置身于一定的語言情景中生動活潑地進行多種語言練習,整體課堂教學效果較好。
教材分析:
本課的教學主要圍繞教會學生用英語談論能力,介紹及選擇俱樂部等相關(guān)詞匯和句型展
開。
學情分析:
七年級學生經(jīng)過小學三年和初中一個學期的學習已經(jīng)掌握了一些基本的英語詞匯和句型,這為本課內(nèi)容的學習打下一定基礎而且本階段的學生探索欲和求知欲比較強,對于各種教學活動都能積極參加。
Ⅰ、Teaching content:
Period 1
Ⅱ、Teaching goals :
1. Knowledge goals
(1)To master some new words and phrases: dance, sing, swim, draw, speak English, play the guitar, play chess, and so on.
(2) To master the usage of modal verb“can”.
Can you/he/she dance?
Yes,I/he/she can./No,I/he/she can’t. What club do you want to join? I want to join the chess club.
2. Ability goals
(1) Use“can”to talk about one’s abilities and likes
(2) Arouse students’ interest in English by group work, and help students to
form good learning habits.
3. Emotion goals:
To help students to love English, show their abilities, and communicate with
other people actively.

Step 1 Lead in
1. Let students enjoy an English song and ask them to listen carefully.
T: Today we will learn Unit 1 Can you play the guitar? Class, do you like listening to the music? I like listening to music very much. First, let’s enjoy an English song. ( Play the song for the students to listen)
2. Show some pictures to present new words and phrases.
(Point to the picture) T: Class, what can he do? Student 1: sing. (Point to another picture) T: What can he do? Student 2: dance.
Teach those words and phrases in the same way: swim, paint, draw, chess, play chess, violin, play the violin, drums, play the drums, piano, play the piano.
3. Students read the new words and phrases after the teacher.
4. Help students to know the usage of “play”.
Step 2 1a
1. Ask the students to look at the pictures of Page 1, there are some clubs in it.
Let’s look at the clubs. What are they? They are art club, English club, chess club, swimming club and music club.
2. Students read the words next to the picture and match activities with the people. 3. Check their answers by asking some students to match.
Step 3 A guessing game
To be more familiar with the words and phrases, the teacher can organize a game like this:
1. T:Now, let’s do an interesting game. You will see some pictures, please guess
what he/she can do. Let’s see who can win this game.
2. Show the picture to the student one by one, asking some students to guess and
give the right answer. 3. Praise the student who can guess rigt。
Step 4 Presentation
1. Ask students to look at the pictures and the sentences next to it. 2. Students read the dialogue after the teacher. 3. Ask some pairs to read the dialogue.
Step5 1b
1. Say each conversation with a student in step 4. After doing this, play the
recording for the first time, Students only listen.
2. Play the recording a second time. This time ask the students to listen to the
conversations and write a number 1 next to the first conversation they hear, a number 2 next to the second one they hear, and a number 3 next to the third one they hear. Point out the sample answer. 3. Let students read the dialogues in pairs.
Step 6 Pair work
1. Say the sample conversations. Have students repeat. Then ask students to practice
the conversations in pairs. Ask them to use the vocabularies from the pictures. 2. Choose some pairs to practice dialogues in class and praise the better pairs. 3. Ask students to make up sentences talking about Lisa, Bob and Mary.
4. Show some pictures and the sentences to the students, ask them to talk about
their abilities and likes. Finally choose one student of each group to report the result of the survey.
Step7 Summary and Homework
1. Explain the usage of some words to the class and help students to understand
them.
2. Ask students to talk about the clubs they want to join.

教 學 反 思
本節(jié)課的中心話題是運用情態(tài)動詞談論自己在某一方面所具有的能力。整節(jié)課的內(nèi)容是圍繞情態(tài)動詞 can 展開的。通過本節(jié)課的學習,使學生能夠運用情態(tài)動詞can 表達自己在某一方面所具有的才能,談論自己的喜好與意愿,能夠自薦或參加各種課外俱樂部,并讓學生在實踐中學會和使用目標語,鼓勵學生積極參加各種課外活動,培養(yǎng)學生的多方面才能及團隊精神。
結(jié)合教學目標,本節(jié)課的教學環(huán)節(jié)當中使用了任務教學法和情景交際法等多種教學方法。學生能夠在輕松活潑的氛圍中進行英語語言知識的學習。有影像聲音的flash動畫以及各種內(nèi)容多樣的圖片讓學生的英語學習積極性高漲,他們對詞匯句型的學習由被動轉(zhuǎn)為主動,這樣有利于提高本節(jié)課的課堂教學效率。本節(jié)課的教學難點在于讓學生掌握情態(tài)動詞 can 的肯定句和否定句、情態(tài)動詞can 的一般疑問句及肯定否定回答。學生掌握起來有一定的難度,需要教師耐心的指導。本節(jié)課通過實踐讓學生體驗到了學習英語的樂趣,并能勇于展示自己的才能,通過小組活動談論彼此的特長與愛好。指導學習積極與他人交流,相互學習,相互幫助,培養(yǎng)了學生的團隊精神。
雖然本節(jié)課的教學環(huán)節(jié)設計的比較合理,教學目標也比較明確,但是本節(jié)課的教學效果也有不理想的地方,也需要教師多花時間去研究課本和學生,力爭找到更完好的教學思路,實現(xiàn)更好的教學效果。
