3.—Does it eat meat? —No, it doesn’t. It eats plants.
4.—Do pandas eat plants and leaves? —Sure. They love bamboo. 5. Shall we go and…? 6. That’s very funny. ⅤTeaching aids
Tape recorder , video,ppt ⅥTeaching Steps
Step1. Lead in
1. Ss learn the new words of ―zoo, aimals, plants, leaves and bamboo‖ by pictures. 2. Ss watch a video and answer the question: What animals can you see in the video?‖
3. T writes down the words of animals which Ss speak out. Step 2.Pre-listening
1. Ss learn the new words of animals by a guessing game.
2. Teacher plays the sounds of ―tiger, lion, and bear‖, and Ss guess the animals’ name. 3. The next new words learning by pictures: teacher describes the animals and students guess what animal is it?
4. Ss read the new words together three times.
5. Listen and check ( √) the words in Activity 2 you hear.
6. Ss do pair work: there are two questions: What’s your favourite animal? And Does it eat…?
Step 3 While listening
1. Fast listening: Ss look at three questions and do the listening, then the whole class check the answer together.
2. Careful listening: Ss listen to the tape and complete the table.
3. Role-play the dialogue: read the conversation in groups and choose one or two groups to act it out. Step 4 Post listening
1. Ss do a survey in groups and report it.
2. Ss look at a picture and observe what happen in the picture, then T plays a video of protecting our animals. Step 5 Do exercises
