To develop students’ abilities of listening and speaking. C. Aims on the emotion
To cultivate students’ healthy lifestyle and the consciousness of good cooperation and proper competition. Focus Points & Difficult Points:
A.Grasp six phrases: dinner, lunch, breakfast, English class, music class and PE class.
B.Understand and use the sentences: What time is it? It’s…. It’s time for….
Teaching Preparation:
Word cards, a clock, multimedia TeachingProcedures
Step1 Warming up
1. Free talk: Greeting and Introduce 2. Sing a song “Ten Little Candles Dance” Step2 Presentation and Practice
1. Guess a riddle ---- A clock. 2. Ask and answer
(1)The teacher takes out a clock .
T: What time is it? Ss: It’s 9 o’clock.
Teach students the meaning of the sentences and how to use. Ask students to read the sentences after the teacher. Stress on “o’clock.” (2)Make dialogues
Two students in a group. One uses the clock and asks: “What time is it?” The other answers: “It’s… o’clock .” (3)T: What time is it? Ss: It’s 12 o’clock. T: I’m hungry. Are you hungry, too? Ss: Yes. T: OK. It’s time for lunch. Let’s go. Teach “lunch” with the word card. Use the same method to teach other words. (4) Play a game “BOMB”
