教學(xué)目標(biāo)
1. Knowledge aims
a. Students should learn and use the following words and expressions :difficult, simplify, drag, spit, lack, triangle, onion, worthwhile have access to, set up ; words to describe teachers: wonderful, patient, hard-working, devoted, committed
b. Students are enabled to use the grammar: I wish… I should have done…
2. Ability aims
a. Students can use some adjectives to describe teachers.
b. Students can understand the reading passage clearly.
c. Students are able to use “I wish… and I should have done …” to express regrets.
3. Moral aims
In this lesson, I encourage the students to be more interested in study by letting them know that even a
difficult student like Graham can be changed into a successful adult, arousing their feelings of thanks and respect for the teachers.
2教學(xué)內(nèi)容
1.教材內(nèi)容的地位、作用與意義
本單元的中心話題是“Learning”,內(nèi)容涉及“終身學(xué)習(xí)”、“不同的學(xué)校”、“老師”、“理解”等話題。在Warm-up及第1,2課時里,學(xué)生已經(jīng)圍繞與學(xué)習(xí)相關(guān)的話題展開了活動,那么談?wù)撆c學(xué)習(xí)關(guān)系密切的“老師”這一話題就自然地展開了。
2.教材編排的特點(diǎn)、重點(diǎn)與難點(diǎn)
本文由兩部分組成My Teacher 和My Student 組成,分別從學(xué)生Graham Lawrence對老師Brian Jenkins的印象、老師對學(xué)生的印象及老師自己對“教師”這一行業(yè)的評價展開描述,體現(xiàn)了老師在教育學(xué)生尤其是問題學(xué)生的過人之處。
鑒于本課是閱讀課,課型為Language Focus,我把本課設(shè)計為讀懂課文結(jié)合重要的語言、語法點(diǎn),本人希望通過本課的教學(xué)達(dá)到師生間的相互理解及讓學(xué)生表達(dá)對老師的感激之情。
3教學(xué)重點(diǎn)
(1) Getting the students to understand the passage clearly.
(2) Focusing on the grammar points---- I wish…/ I should have done….
4教學(xué)難點(diǎn)
(1) Understanding the two clues of the passage: In what ways was Graham difficult? What did Mr. Jenkins do to change Graham?
(2) Learning to use “I wish… and I should have done… ” to express regrets.
5教學(xué)對象
高二學(xué)生經(jīng)過了高一的適應(yīng)性階段后,對英語新課標(biāo)的要求及老師的上課方式有了一定的認(rèn)識和了解,樹立了較正確的英語學(xué)習(xí)觀。他們在課堂上能積極配合英語教學(xué),這充分顯示了高二學(xué)生渴望走向成熟的特點(diǎn)。由于缺乏真實的語言環(huán)境,學(xué)生雖然能聽懂一定難度的課堂用語,但口語表達(dá)仍欠流利和地道,大多學(xué)生只會使用簡單的單詞和句型。本設(shè)計適合于普通水平的班級,人數(shù)50人左右,達(dá)到課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)要求的7級水平。
本人借班上課,是我校的高二(36)班,這是一個普通層次的理科班,男女比例較適中,雖然相當(dāng)一部分學(xué)生的英語基礎(chǔ)較差,但他們的求知欲較強(qiáng),能積極參與課堂學(xué)習(xí),但由于詞匯量欠缺,大部分學(xué)生的口語表達(dá)能力及課文理解能力較差,需要老師給予清晰的任務(wù)指示和引導(dǎo)。

Step1.Leading -in
teachers, Ms Guo, show two photos of Ms Guo and me, and meanwhile present some key words. 3. Show two pictures of Graham and Mr. Jenkins and lead in the text. Step 2. Reading 1. Fast reading Read the text quickly and answer two questions. (work sheet) (1) What kind of student was Graham? (2) What kind of teacher was Mr. Jenkins in Graham’s eyes? 2. Detailed reading Read the text again and find the key words in the text to finish the exercises. (work sheet) (1) In what ways was Graham difficult? (Fill in a table with the key words) (2) What did Mr. Jenkins do to change Graham? (Complete the sentences with the key words) Step 3. Further development 1. Read the last two paragraphs again and answer two questions. (1)What difficulties about teaching is Mr. Jenkins facing now? (2) Does Mr. Jenkins like being a teacher? Why? 2. Translate the two Chinese sentences into English, which are related to the answers to the question (2). (work sheet) Grammar focus 1. Read passage 1 again and find some regrets of Graham that have the same meaning as the following Chinese sentences (work sheet) 2. Summarize the grammar rules by Ss. 3. Practice. Summary---- aims & goals What have you learned in this lesson? 1. Word Bank 2. Grammar Points 3. Understanding the text Homework Please write some sentences to express your regrets using I wish… / I should have done… . |
Ss enjoy the pictures and use some adjectives to describe teachers. Ss learn and read the target words. Ss scan the passage quickly, and answer two questions.. Ss skim the passage efficiently and get the key words to finish the exercises. Ss read the last two paragraphs again and find out the answers. Ss learn to understand the English sentences and then translate the Chinese sentences into English sentences again. Ss work together to find the sentences, discuss how to express regrets, and then report their jobs. Ss do some exercises to consolidate the knowledge. Ss work together to summarize what they have learned in this lesson. Ss finish the homework after class to consolidate the knowledge. |
Arouse the Ss’ interests and lead in the text. Review some words that they’ve learned to lead them to reusing the knowledge. Let Ss be familiar with the key words in the text to reduce the difficulty while reading. Train Ss’ ability of reading fast and getting the useful information. Train Ss’ ability of getting detailed information to master the two clues of the text and understand the text clearly. Let the students further understand the text and make them know the conditions of being a teacher, boosting their respect for teachers. Show students a way of learning English by understanding the sentences and then translating both Chinese and English sentences. Let students find and summarize how to express regrets and focus on grammar points, meanwhile making Ss feel thankful and respectful for the teachers. Let them review the knowledge and help them to memorize the knowledge. Let Ss consolidate the knowledge by doing homework. |

教 學(xué) 反 思 |
上完這節(jié)課后,我認(rèn)為這節(jié)課較好地完成了預(yù)設(shè)的教學(xué)目標(biāo),教學(xué)思路清晰,課件制作精細(xì),課堂氣氛活躍,體現(xiàn)了教師為主導(dǎo),學(xué)生為主體的原則,所有任務(wù)和操練都圍繞學(xué)生為主線進(jìn)行,層層深入,學(xué)生表現(xiàn)積極、主動、配合,整個過程動靜相宜,松弛有度。師生互動良好,適度地進(jìn)行情感教育,增加了師生間的理解和信任。但由于課堂時間僅為40分鐘,非常有限。我在給學(xué)生獨(dú)立思考和合作討論探究的時間不夠充分,而且課堂評價不夠多樣化。這需要在今后的教學(xué)中不斷摸索,不斷提高和完善。 | |||||||||
