Module 3 MY English book Unit 3 What colour is it?

Analysis of the text:
In this text students will learn about colours of things. Function: Recognition of colours.
II. Teaching focus
1. Master language of asking colours of things ,and master the English expressions of
colours
2. Key vocabulary and phrases: of , course, want , colour , black, white ,blue, green,
yellow, red, brown, orange
3. Key structures: What colour is / are…?
4. Be skilled in oral expressions of asking and answering the colours of things.

1. Key vocabulary and phrases: of , course, want , colour , black, white ,blue, green, yellow, red, brown, orange

Key structures: What colour is / are…? Is it red? Ability goals:
1. Listening : Students can understand others’ questions of asking colours , and give corresponding answers.
2. Speaking: Students can ask and answer colours.
3. Reading: Students can understand the similar dialogue of asking and answering colours.

Writing: Students can write colours. Emotional attitude:
Colours make our life more colourful.
IV. Teaching Procedures
Step 1 Lead in:
1. Sing a song and get out the topic- colour
2. check how many colours the students can remember. Step 2 Vocabulary and sentence structure
Task 1. New vocabulary
1. Show some pictures, ask the students to look at the pictures and learn colours

2. Read the new words three times
設計目的: 通過問答,引出新詞匯的同時也讓學生們熟悉句型。

1. Say the colours

設計目的: 通過配對,強化對新詞匯的印象,然后通過拼讀,關注新詞匯的拼寫,
為接下來的說做鋪墊。最后通過簡短胡對話操練詞匯和句型。
Task 3. Game
1. Invite two groups to play the game
2. The students in the group should say the colours of the words one by one and the
group which takes the shortest time wins the game
設計目的: 通過游戲,讓孩子們增強顏色詞匯的敏感度,加快他們對詞匯的反應
速度來為后面的聽力做好準備。
Step3 Listening and writing
Task 1. New vocabulary
1. Ask students to say the things of the pictures in English in activity 2. 2. Read the sentences under the pictures. 3. Match the dialogue with the pictures 4. Listen to the tape and check the answer. 5. Read the dialogue together.
Task 2. Writing
1. Look at the pictures and try to fill in the blanks in activity 7 in the book 2. Check answers together 3. Read after the tape
設計目的: 通過讀的方式做好聽前的準備工作,聽力訓練之后通過寫的方式加強
學生對詞匯和句型的掌握。

設計目的: 通過說的操練,回顧本單元所學句型并實現語言的輸出。通過單復數的操練,一方面加強顏色沒有單復數的概念,另一方面作為第三單元的對話能夠起到對前面所學知識復習的作用。

Show the sayings of colours and ask students to guess the meanings.
設計目的: 通過猜詞游戲讓學生們掌握更多的關于顏色的小知識,拓展知識點。
