Teaching Objectives
At the end of this part, students will be able to 1. master more words related to color; 2. talk about the color of different things;
3.apply what they have mastered into practice, perform the dialogue they made by themselves; 4. open their vision to know more about the culture of colors.
StepI. Warm-up& lead-in
Teacher does a magic trick. She asks four students to come to the stage. Students should do what the teacher does. Each student holds one bottle of purified water. Then grasp something magic in the air, and blow on it. Next shake the bottles. The purified water turns into different colors. 設計意圖:用魔術的形式,把五瓶純凈水變成不同顏色的水,激發學生強烈的興趣。在一片驚呼聲和好奇感中,順利引入今天的話題——顏色。
Step II. Presentation
1. Self-studying
Students learn new words by themselves. And finish 1a.
設計意圖:在教授新知之前,先讓學生自主學習,勾畫難點。培養其自主學習能力。 2. Learn new words and key language.
Teacher teaches new words and key language. Then ask students to do the quick response. 設計意圖:在快速反應環節中,學生能快速檢測自己對于新單詞的掌握情況。此環節比拼單詞熟練度和反應力,氛圍很激烈,學生們很喜歡。
Step III. Suspension
1. Color Game
Teacher asks students to speak out the color of some Chinese color words. 設計意圖:此環節是快速反應的升級版,進一步幫學生鞏固色彩詞匯。
2. Listening practice
Teacher asks students to do the listening practice of 1b. 3. Pairwork & Groupwork
Teacher asks students to talk about the color of their own things with their partner or in their group.
設計意圖:此環節讓學生們開始真正用詞,開始造句,去自創情境,去接地氣的談論自己所屬物品的顏色。同時,學生可以根據自己的實際英語水平選擇展示形式。學生可以師徒結對,兩兩對話,互幫互助。學生也可以選擇小組展示,團隊協作,共同創設情境,進行口語展示。
Step IV. Climax
Color the rainbow & Sing the song
Teacher asks students to color the rainbow by listening to a beautiful song. Then learn the song and sing the song.
設計意圖:通過播放有關顏色的歌曲,讓學生們辨認顏色,選擇相應顏色畫筆,填圖彩虹。通過學習和演唱這首優美的歌曲,進一步幫助學生鞏固顏色詞匯。同時,順便教授學生一句和彩虹有關鼓勵人心的名言:No matter how long the rain lasts, there will be a rainbow in the end. No matter how sad you may be, believe that happiness is waiting.
Step 5. Ending
Teacher asks students to watch a micro-course about the different culture between English color words and Chinese color words which was made by herself.
設計意圖:觀看老師自己制作的微課《中英色彩詞語差異》,進一步打開學生的視眼,擴充跨文化交際知識,去了解更多有關中英色彩詞的差異和用法。
