This lesson is from the first period of unit 7, which talks about how to ask and answer the prices of the clothes. The topic is related to students’ daily life. 2. The students:
Most of the students know some words about clothes. But they don’t know how to ask and answer the prices of the clothes.They don’t know how to use money meaningfully,either. Part Ⅱ Teaching aims
1. Knowledge aims: Enable students to master some important words and phrases,such as,much,how much, sock, T-shirt, shorts, sweater, trousers, shoe, skirt, dollar and so on.
2. Ability aims: Enable students to learn how to ask and answer the prices of the clothes. 3. Emotional aims: Enable students to know how to use money meaningfully. 4. Cultural aims:Enable students to know the different currencies in the world. Part Ⅲ Teaching key points and difficult points
Key and difficult points: Enable students to learn how to ask and answer the prices of the clothes. Part Ⅳ Teaching methods and learning methods

Steps Teacher’s activities Students’ activities Objectives
1.Lead-in Show Ss a video about shopping. And ask Ss some questions about the video.
Watch the video and answer the questions.
Attract the Ss’ attention and let them focus on the topic.
(1) Show the pictures and the new words, and teach them one by one. Read after the teacher, practice their pronunciation. Let Ss learn to read the new words.
(2) Ask some students to teach the new words.
Some of them can teach the new words,others follow them.
In order to check the students if can read all the new words. (3) Do a game. Crossword
Play the game.
Let the class be
active,and check their pronunciation. (4) Show Ss a photo of me.Introduce different currencies and payment methods.
Read new words and know different currencies and payment methods.

2.Teach new words (5)Ask Ss to finish the 1a. and then check the answers.
Match the words with the pictures.and then give the answers like this,“Look at picture...It’s/They’re.... ”. Let Ss finish 1a,master the new words.
3.Listen and finish 1b
(1)before-listening.
Ask Ss to talk about clothes in the picture.
Talk about the clothes in the picture.
Prepare for listening.
(2) while-listening Ask Ss to listen carefully,circle the things you hear in the picture in 1a. Listen carefully and finish the exercise. Improve their abilities of listening.
(3) post-listening
Listen again and fill in the blanks.
Discussion. Do you know how to ask and answer the price? Fill in the blanks and discuss how to ask and answer the price?
Enable Ss to learn to ask and answer the prices.
4.Pair work
Ask Ss to play a game. A:How much is the...? B:It’s....
B:How much are the....? A:They are....
Come to the stage and play the game.
Help Ss to practice what they learned. Enable Ss to learn to ask and answer the prices..
5.Group work Ask Ss to work in groups of four and make a conversation like this:
A: How much is the…?
B: It’s… dollars. How much are the…?
C: They’re… How much..? D:….. Work in groups of four and
make a conversation Help Ss to master what they learned in this class.
6.Buy beautiful clothes for their mother in the
classroom. Ask Ss to buy beautiful clothes in the classroom.
Go shopping in the classroom.
Practice what they learned in a real store.
7.Make a report.
Ask Ss to make a report.
Make a report like this: In my group,I buy...for....It’s..dollars Tom buys...They’re...dollars.. Practice how to talk about the prices of the clothes
