1、 知識基礎: 絕大部分學生已經掌握詞匯、語句能夠表達句子,幫助學生談論自己的喜好感受及原因。
2、能力基礎:九年級學生已經具有一定的寫作能力,本課時通過使用定語從句來幫助學生提高寫作能力。
3重點難點
重點:用that/who引導的定語從句描述個人喜好。
難點:有關個人喜好的寫作訓練。

活動1【導入】step 1:Warming up
The students listen to the music of Erquan yingyue and talk about "what kind of music do you like best?

Help the students look at some pictures about music and movies .
Then help them talk about their favorite music and movies.
活動3【講授】Step 3:Practice
Help the students fill in the blanks in 3a.Then make the notes in the chart by themselves.
Share their ideas with others in class.

work in pairs.
Help the students make the coversations .They can use the informatoin in 3a.
A :What kind of music do you like best?
B:I like music that is sad.
A :Why do you like this kind of music?
B :I think sad music is strangely beautiful.
A :How do you feel when you listen to this kind of music?
B :I feel sad and want to cry.
活動5【講授】Step 5:Writing practice
Use their notes to write an article for a newspaper or magazine to tell people about their favorite kind of music/movie and their favorite song/moive.
Use the following expressions to help you :
1.My favorite kind of music/moive is...
2.I like ...because...
3.It was ...by...
4.When I listen to/watch it.I feel...
5.I think you should listen to /watch it too because...
They can write the article by following the first paragraph in 2b.

Work on Self -check 1
Let some students read the words in the box.Then fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words in the box.
Check the answers with the students.

Help the students fill in the blanks with who/that/which .More than one answers may be possible.
Check the answers.
3.Work on Self-check 3
Help the students complete the sentences by themselves.
Then they can work in groups to act out the conversations.
