Section A (1a-1c)
一、教學目標: 1. 知識與技能
To learn and master the vocabulary and useful expressions. (1)Vocabulary
掌握詞匯及短語: prefer ,sing along with, dance to ,remind sb. of 識別詞匯及短語: lyric, dislike, gentle,. (2)Useful expressions:
What kind of music do you like?
I like music that I can sing along with. What about you? Prefer music that has great lyrics.
2. 過程與方法: 提出問題,探究交流,培養學生自學能力
Train students’ listening skills. Train students to express preferences. 3. 情感態度與價值觀
Let’s enjoy music. It always brings us happiness. 二、教學重點、難點:
Talk about different kinds of music and their own preferences (1). 重點:Attributive clauses (2). 難點:Useful expressions. 三、學情分析:
定語從句是九年級課本第九單元的語法要點,是在1-8單元已經對該語法知識有所滲透的前提下安排的。本節課話題是讓學生體會音樂在生活中無處不在,體會不同類型音樂的特點,學會熱愛生活;能用簡單的定語從句形式表述自己的觀點。通過本節的學習,增強學生對復合句的理解,提高其對此句式的應用能力。
四、教學策略Learning Strategies
采用任務型語言教學,實施情境教學法、小組合作探究法。 五.課前準備:
1.學生:預習新單詞,聽錄音機,模仿跟讀新單詞,對定語從句的知識進行預習(P143~144)。 2. 真實圖片(real pictures);錄音機(A tape recorder) 六.教學設計思路:
本節課我是以比賽的形式組織整堂課,我設計了四個競賽環節:NO.1是搶答題,No.2是必答題,No.3是Let’s enjoy music,NO.4是Who is the luckiest.通過這四個環節讓學生提高課堂參與度,提高競爭意識, 更重要的是最大限度的感知、應用定語從句。 七.課時安排: 第一課時 八.教學步驟:
(一).情境引學 Warming-up and Lead-in(NO.1搶答題) (1)Play a piece of beautiful light music and join the singing.
(2) Guessing: What is the name of the song? What sings the song? What do you think of the song? What kind of music is it?
(3) Then go on listening to many kinds of music and lead the Ss to say I like music that...Provide some phrases describing music such as the following:
has great lyrics, is very moving, touch people deeply, remind one of one’s childhood, singers sing the words clearly…
設計意圖:通過播放學生所熟知的【最炫民族風】音樂,創設輕松的開課氛圍,同時把這一環節設計成搶答環節,可以讓學生迅速融入音樂和英語結合的氛圍。然后讓學生聽不同種類的音樂,讓學生在音樂的殿堂里感知并運用句型I like music that....很自然的引入了這節的內容。 (二)、幸運大轉盤(No.2必答題)
1.Let the students say some sentences about the kinds of music 2.Pairwork:What kind of music do you like? I like music that.... (三)、探究交流(No.3 Let’s enjoy music)
1.Presentation
(1)There are many kinds of music such as pop ,jazz, rock… Let Ss talk about the kinds of music.(圖片展示)
(2)Ask and answer in pairs: What kind of music do you like best? Why?
I like pop music/classical music/jazz music/country music/dance music, etc.And tell the reasons. 如:I like music that I can dance to. Because I love dancing very much.
設計意圖:教師引出話題,帶出任務,組織學生進行交流,學生通過思考和談論話題“What kind of music do you like? Why?”引入新課題
(3) Let Ss listen to many kinds of music and guess it belongs to what kind of music it is (四)、達標評價 Listening
(1)First let’s guess what kinds of music they will talk about by reading the three headings given.
(2)Ask Ss to think of names of bands as many as possible. Think: What kind of musicians do you like?
(Say names of bands as many as possible. Try to answer the question using attributive clauses.) 設計意圖:為下一節的聽力做好熱身活動,并初步嘗試定語從句的應用
(3)Play the tape. And then check the answers.
Ask the students to listen to the recording between Carmen and Xu Fei. read 1a. explain the sentences:
I prefer music that has great lyrics=I like music that has great lyrics better.
設計意圖:聽是不可缺少的教學活動。通過聽力練習鍛煉學生的聽力能力,交流提高也就是聽力的提高。 (五)、拓展延伸
Choose your lucky gold egg:
(1)Let the students choose their gold egg and finish the exercises behind them It includes many daily
things, such as books, foods, clothes, etc.
Ask Ss to say about their likes and dislikes using at least two attributive clauses. (2) A survey
First, a dialogue between the teacher and some Ss T: What kind of music do you like ? S1:I like music that I can sing along with. T: What about you?
S2:I prefer music that has great lyrics.
Ask the students to ask and answer in groups, then fill in the chart.
(3) Write a composition about our daily things. Give them the beginning like this: Hello ! I did a survey of
our favorite daily things . Here is the result . I like …that … My friend …likes …that …music, likes and dislikes.
If we have time , report the result in front of the class.
設計意圖:分組進行對話,鍛煉學生的口語表達能力,增強學生自主學習的能力和小組合作精神。之后把所練句型以筆頭形式連成一篇小短文,達到了講練結合的效果,為學生的書面表達能力打下基礎。 (六)、Summary and Homework
T: This class, we’ve learnt how to express our preferences to different music. After class, please, 1. Listen to the conversations again.
2. Try to talk about the kinds of music you like and the reason why you like or dislike them. (七).Blackboard Design
