2學(xué)情分析
進(jìn)入八年級后,班級學(xué)生兩極分化的問題比較突出。在學(xué)習(xí)第一單元之后,大部分學(xué)生對保護(hù)瀕危動物這樣話題比較了解。但是,在篇章閱讀方面,他們對生詞的理解、主題及細(xì)節(jié)的查找、文章結(jié)構(gòu)的分析等都有待學(xué)習(xí)和提高。我們教師需要在課堂教學(xué)中輸入閱讀策略以培養(yǎng)他們的閱讀能力。

2. To get information from the reading material about pandas.

活動1【導(dǎo)入】Lead－in　
Watch a video to attract the Ss attention to the situation that some animals live in. Do they live in peace or in danger?    
設(shè)計意圖:通過觀看視頻,導(dǎo)入主題,激發(fā)學(xué)生的積極參與性。
活動2【講授】Pre－task
Ask Ss three questions:
1. What is the WWF?
2. What is the symbol of the WWF?
3. What do you know about pandas?
設(shè)計意圖:通過提問及圖片提示來激活學(xué)生已有的知識,具有激活圖式的功能,為下面的閱讀做鋪墊。
活動3【講授】While－task
Fast-reading: Read the passage quickly and match the headings with the paragraphs.

設(shè)計意圖:學(xué)生個人快速瀏覽課文,掌握文章段落的主旨大意并將小標(biāo)題與段落匹配。有助于培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的略讀能力。

           A. They will build many zoos.
B. They will build bigger nature parks and grow more bamboo, so the pandas will have enough food to eat and enough places to live in.

設(shè)計意圖:學(xué)生兩兩合作再次細(xì)讀文章完成表格,進(jìn)一步理解文章中的細(xì)節(jié)信息,從中了解文章的結(jié)構(gòu)。教師通過整理活動中的答案,提供一個口頭范文,為學(xué)生下一步的寫作訓(xùn)練做好準(zhǔn)備。
活動5【練習(xí)】Post－task
(Ask Ss to work in groups and choose an animal in danger to write about, then each group chooses one student to share their passage with the whole class.)
Write a passage about an animal in danger.
設(shè)計意圖:學(xué)生以小組為單位選擇自己感興趣的瀕危動物,通過回答上面表格中的問題,模仿課文的寫作形式,寫出一篇介紹某種瀕危動物現(xiàn)狀的短文。
活動6【活動】Consolidation
Enjoy a video. Let Ss know “We (humans and animals) are all connected. Protecting animals is protecting ourselves."
設(shè)計意圖:通過觀看視頻,讓學(xué)生意識到我們?nèi)撕蛣游锸窍⑾⑾嚓P(guān)的,保護(hù)動物就是保護(hù)我們自己。

Write a passage: An animal in danger. 
設(shè)計意圖:仿照課文的結(jié)構(gòu)方式,寫一篇介紹某種瀕危動物現(xiàn)狀的短文,呼吁人類保護(hù)動物。
