Unit4 Where’s my schoolbag? (Period 1)
Teaching aims:
1. 掌握日常生活物品的單詞
2. 能夠使用where is/are…尋找物品,并能夠正確使用介詞on, in, under, between, behind, in front of等描述物品所在的位置。
Teaching procedure: I. Revision
1. What can you see in the room? I can see a/an __________.
(I’ll show students a picture one by one and let them say out the words individually.)
2. Practice the sentences patterns and prepositions. ---Where’s/ Where’re.... ---It’s / They’re... II. Challenging time (find out the missing thing)
One minute to memorize(記憶) the things and where they are. (What are missing(丟失)? Where are they? )
What are missing?
The tape player is under the table.. The schoolbag is on the sofa. The books are in the bookcase. The model plane is one the bed. The keys are on the wall.
III. Presentation (Pair work)
Show a picture of a room. Two students ask and answer questions about the things in the room using the sentence patterns with prepositions:
Is the book/basketball/... on/behind/... ? Yes, it is./ No, it isn’t. It’s on/in/...
Are the books/basketballs/... on/behind/... ? Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t. They’reon/in/...
IV. A guessing game. Cover the things and ask the students to guess where
they are until they use the right preposition. Where’s/ Where are _________?
Is it/ Are they__________ the __________. Yes, it is./No, it isn’t.
Yes, they are./No, they aren’t. V. Role-play the conversation.
1. Listen and fill in the blanks. Mom: Come on, Jack!
Jack: Oh, no! _________ my bag? Mom: Hmm…is it on your desk?
Jack: No. And it’s not ______ the chair. Mom: Oh! It’s on the sofa.
Jack: Thank you, Mom. Err…where’s the_____? Mom: I think it’s in your ______________room. Jack: Yes, it’s on their bed! And my hat? Mom: It’s on your ________ ! Jack: Oh, yeah! Haha!
2. Read through the dialogue and answer the questions. 1). Is Jack’s bag under the chair? 2). Where’s the map?
3). Is Jack’s hat on the sofa?
3. Read the dialogue loudly.
VI. Practice (Group work)
Jack和家里人(根據組員人數自行決定)正要出門,結果發現忘帶了一些東西(如:校園卡、兩本筆記本和飛機模型......)。
(如:校園卡在書桌上,筆記本在書柜里, 飛機模型在床底下......)
