教學目標
1. Language Objectives:
Students can understand the meaning of new words “tidy, everywhere” and “but” through reading.
Students learn to use the conjunction “and” through reading and speaking.
2. Ability Objectives:
Students can describe positions of things in a room by speaking.
3. Emotional Objective:
Students may find a tidy room is good and makes our life more comfortable through reading and
speaking.
4. Strategy Objective:
Students can use the strategy of scanning to find where things are in reading.
2學情分析
Students have learned words of objects, prepositions and prepositional phrases in Section A,
which provides them the foundation to read the passage of 2b in Section B.

Teaching Important Points: Help students to describe a room orally with correct prepositions
and the conjunction “and”.
Teaching Difficult Points: Help students pay attention to the subject-verb agreement when they
describe a room orally.

4.1第五學時
4.1.1教學活動
活動1【導入】Revision and Lead-in
1. Shows students nine things they learned in the former part of Section B, and asks students to say
them in English.
2. Plays a video of the teacher’s bedroom and asks students where things are in the video.
活動2【活動】Pre-reading
Shows two pictures, one of which is a tidy room and the other one is an untidy room and then raise the
question “Who is tidy, Kate or Gina?”
活動3【練習】While-reading
(1) Fast-reading: gives students one minute to read and get the general idea to answer the question.
(2) Careful-reading: scanning
Gives students four minutes to read the passage again and fill in the chart of 2c,
in which they need to get detailed information.
Checks students’ answers by asking them to say complete sentences.
活動4【活動】Post-reading
(1) Lets students read the passage aloud and pay attention to sentences with the
conjunction “and”.
(2) Sets students to think about the question “Whose room do you like? Kate’s or
Gina’s?
(3) Set a situation for students to help Gina tidy her room. Moves things of the room in
ppt and ask students to describe their positions.
活動5【活動】Speaking
(1) Ask students to describe their own room orally.
(2) Helps students when they need and organizes the presentation.
活動6【導入】Homework
Asks students to write a passge of their own room titled "My Room".
