1. Brainstorm . 
Let Sssay what they think of according to the phrase last weekend. Finish the 
mind-map. 
2. Guessing. 
T: Now, let’s do a guessing game.  
She is short and thin, she has two big eyes, she has long straight hair, she is a 
seven-year-old girl.She is a primary student. Who is she? ... Yes, she is my daughter.  
3. Memory challenge. 
T:You’ll watch a short video about her last weekend, please watch carefully 
and fill in the chart.

                            On Saturday morning, I watched flowers. On Saturday afternoon, I picked peaches. On Saturday evening, I watched TV.  On Sunday morning, I played the violin.  On Sunday afternoon, I read books.  On Sunday evening, I did her homework. 
T: Of course, it’s not a good essay. It’s like a chant. Pay attention to the timeline, on Saturday morning…. The sentence pattern is single and boring.  
⑵ Let’s review. What did Lucy do last weekend? Complete the passage and pay attention to the timeline. 
⑶ Compare two kinds of timeline, which is better？ 
Of course, D is better. Before writing, we must have a clear timeline in our mind. For example, B…, C… 
2. A mind-map of Saturday morning . 
Saturday morning: where (Datong Village) , who (with my friends), how (by car), what (watched flowers)  
If I connect them together, it can be sentences. It’s like a stick of tanghulu 
⑴On Saturday morning, I went to Datong Village  with  my friends. I watched flowers there.  
T: I begin the passage with the weather. Is it better? It was sunny but not hot on Saturday.I think it’s important for us to arrange the weekend according to the weather.  
I watched flowers there. There are so many beautiful flowers. It looks like the purple sea. 
I went to Datong Village with my friends = my friends and I went to Datong Village. 
⑵In the afternoon, my friends and I picked peaches in Wuli Village. The peaches tasted good. We took some home. 
⑶And at night, I watched TV.The TV show is really interesting. It made me happy. 
⑷What about Sunday ? 
In the morning, I played the violin. In the afternoon, I read books.  And at night, I did her homework. 
T:I write more about Saturday, because it’s more interesting.  
T: Moral education: My daughter did her homework on Sunday night. Is it a good habit?Of course not.If you didn’t finish your homework on weekends. You may have a black Monday. 
2. T: Look, I have finished my homework. Is it OK? Can you make it better? I believe you can. In fact, there isn’t a topic sentence. 
T: We usually write a topic sentence at the beginning or the end of the passage. For example:

T: In a word, we can describe our weekendaround the key word how. These adjectives may help you.Was your weekend good? If your answer is Yes, you can use these adjectives in red; If your answer is No, you can use thoseadjectives inblue. And these purple words are adverbs used before the adjectives. 
T: Happiness is always around us. Like the little flower, I hope you canbe happy, be positive.) 
3. Show the mind map, let students write the essay by themselves. Step3 Post-writing.   
1. Peer Assessment;  
2. Choose the best one in each group and show the essay by using QQ. 
3. As the German poet Goethe said, we always have time enough, if we will but 
use it aright.Please Make a reasonable weekend arrangement . 
Step4 Homework.
