教學目標
1. 熟練掌握并運用過去進行時。
2.理解并掌握when與while引導的時間狀語從句在過去進行時中的用法與區(qū)別。
3.培養(yǎng)學生合作學習以及創(chuàng)新精神,通過共同學習完成學習任務,享受英語學習的樂趣。 學情分析
本節(jié)課主要學習過去進行時的用法以及掌握在含有該時態(tài)的句子中如何使用when和while引導時間狀語從句,并能用過去進行時進行提問和回答。學生們在七年級下冊就學過了現(xiàn)在進行時和一般過去時,對現(xiàn)在分詞的構(gòu)成也有了一定的基礎(chǔ),并且在英語學習的過程中打下了較好的語言運用的基礎(chǔ),具備了一定的聽說讀寫能力,有一定的自信心。因此對于過去進行時這一時態(tài)學起來也比較容易。 重點難點
1.重點:熟練掌握并運用過去進行時的句型結(jié)構(gòu) 2.難點:掌握在過去進行時中如何使用When 和While引導的時間狀語從句中以及他們的區(qū)別。
教學過程
4.1.1教學活動
活動1【課前】游戲熱身 Ask the students to play a game”I say ,you do”.They should answer the question :what were you doing at 4pm. Last Sunday? While answering, they should do actions. But they must do what the person in front of him/her say.
設(shè)計說明:通過學生做游戲的方式,不僅能調(diào)動學生的學習熱情,同時本活動的設(shè)計不僅能強化學生對過去進行時的運用,同時由于在回答問題的同時要做前一個同學說的動作,可以讓學生的注意力高度集中,訓練口語的同時也訓練了學生的聽力。 活動2【導入】視頻導入
Watch a video:China launched TianZhou-1 into the space at 17:41 on April 20th to practice the sentence: what were you doing at that time? 活動3【游戲】游戲操練
Play a guessing game: what were they doing at that time?
活動4【活動】對話練習
Work in pairs,asking :What were you doing at last Sunday?
設(shè)計說明:活動2-4的設(shè)計讓學生對過去進行時的操練從陳述句到一般疑問句再到特殊疑問
句,層層深入的操練,能有效促進學生對過去進行時結(jié)構(gòu)的掌握。 活動5【活動】合作學習
Work in groups, talk about how and when to use the past progressive tense,then ask two of them to show their discussion.
設(shè)計說明:讓學生在合作學習中對過去進行時進行總結(jié)歸納,加深對該時態(tài)的理解,提升自主學習的能力。
活動6【活動】句型展示
Look at the pictures,what were they doing at 9:00am yesterday? Tell the students :they were doing different things at the same time,we can join these two sentences together ,using “while”.
9:00am 11:00am 4:00pm 9:30pm
Then give them other examples,lead them to make a summary,when we talk about two longer actions that go on at the same time, or the longer action of two events,we usually use “while”.
When we talk about a shorter event that happens at the same time as a longer action or event,we usually use “when” and we should just use past tense together with the action.
設(shè)計說明:通過觀察所給的句子,老師啟發(fā)、引導學生思考并歸納when和while 引導的時間狀語從句在過去進行時中的區(qū)別。 活動7【練習】鞏固提升
1. Fill in the blanks with “when” and “while” 2. Choose a number from column A and another number from column B,then make sentences using when or while.
設(shè)計說明:學生隨機選擇數(shù)字,每個數(shù)字下面分別是一個動詞短語(既有延續(xù)性動詞,又有短暫性動詞)學生根據(jù)所抽取的動詞用when或者while造句,對他們的用法和區(qū)別進一步強化鞏固。此活動最大的亮點就是這是一個開放性的練習,可以有效的檢驗學生是否真正弄懂了when和while的區(qū)別。 活動8【朗誦】情感升華 Use the pictures of their teacher and the cleaner to remind them of the unforgettable moments that happened around us, then recite a poem:Mom knows best.
設(shè)計說明:通過播放幾組學生們在休息玩耍,而老師、父母在工作,做家務的照片,以及讓學生誦讀一首由when和while 引導的過去進行時的句子組成的小詩,讓學生再次感受語言應以交際為目的,應在不同語境中反復的使用和操練,同時更教會學生要有感恩之心,用努力來回報父母。
