Read the article again and write down the answers to each question. Where do people celebrate Thanksgiving? When do people celebrate it? Why do people celebrate it? How do people celebrate it now? What is the main dish of the Thanksgiving meal? (方法指導(dǎo):首先,應(yīng)讀懂五個問題的意思;然后,帶著這五個問題再次認(rèn)真閱讀短文的內(nèi)容,特別是認(rèn)真閱讀短文中與某問題相關(guān)的部分,以便根據(jù)上下文意及整個段落的意思來確定如何回答這個問題。 綜合上下文的意思,確定最貼切的答案。) 
2)Watch an English video about the turkey dinner .Show the new words on the big screen and teach Ss the new words in the passage. 
3) Read and match T: Work on 2b. Read the article and number the pictures [1-5]. Here is one way to make turkey for Thanksgiving dinner. First, mix together some bread pieces, onions, salt and pepper. Next, fill the turkey with this bread mix. Then, put the turkey in a hot oven and cook it for a few hours. When it is ready, place the turkey on a large plate and cover it with gravy. Finally, cut the turkey into thin pieces and eat the meat with vegetables like carrots and potatoes. 2) Retelling according to the mind map. Thanksgiving is a special day in the United States. (活動的設(shè)計最后是為了復(fù)述、寫作輸出服務(wù),通過之前充分的練習(xí),為學(xué)生的輸出提供了可能,同時又對學(xué)生有了新的要求。活動設(shè)計源于閱讀,同時又高于閱讀)
