教材分析
本單元是本冊教材的第一單元,從學生熟悉的教師到身邊的朋友,圍繞對他人進行性格特征和外貌的描述展開。本課是故事教學,通過前期的學習,學生已經能夠對人物進行描述,通過幫助Zoom 等小動物一起猜測來的體育老師是什么樣,到最后發現新來的體育老師與想象不符,既是對知識的滾動提升,又滲透了不能以貌取人的思想,幫助學生樹立正確的審美觀。
設計說明
本課為故事教學,以學生本單元主句型Who’s your…teacher? What’s he/she like? Is he/she…?引出PE teacher,迅速進入話題。在復習已學單詞時,設計football game,幫助學生在情境中學習足球運動中進球、失球、得分的表達。進入文本后,將文本分成兩部分:1.猜測體育老師形象;2.最終發現體育老師的形象。在此過程中始終讓學生帶著問題閱讀、觀看視頻,學生自己對比感知體育老師形象上的不同,最終得出結論:You can’t judge a book by its cover.最后,讓學生通過教師給的支架,對故事進行復述,使語言的表達得到提升!

She is kind. We often play basketball/play football in PE lesson. 由本單元主題歌曲進行熱身,通過對學生任課老師的詢問,幫助學生了解本課的話題。在問答體育老師的情況后,詢問體育課做些什么,引出play football.

問和觀看片段讓學生自己找到答案,他們在聊什么?他們猜測體育老師是什么樣的?為后三幅圖的學習留下懸念。
在學習的過程中適當進行表演,可以讓學生更好地理解故事,培養閱讀興趣。
在閱讀第4-6幅圖后,回答問題:誰來了?是什么樣的?Zoom認為他會踢球嗎?通過自己閱讀將兔子的外形特征與他在踢足球時的表現進行對比。
故事教學中表演環節是非常重要的,有助于學生對故事的理解!
