Good afternoon,dear judges and teachers:
It is my great honor to stand here to share my thinking of this English lesson I’m going to use these four words to summarize this lesson: Projecting, thinking, sharing and expressing.
Firstly, I think, the best way to teach a project is from project to projecting. Project refers to language knowledge, while projecting refers to using language to do things. So,three activities are set in the classroom, on the playground and in the clubs. When I prepared this class, I hoped that my students could combine the words, the phrases and the sentences from the first four units. And they could use them to make up a collection of poems Growing at school. But you know, this is a 30-minute class, so they don’t have enough time to draw or to write in this class. But I think students can develop their independent learning, summarizing and expressing abilities in an all round way.
Thinking is the second thing that my students can learn from this class. try to guide them to think by instructions like, first, think, then, speak. And the design of letting students make up riddles, make up poems and make mind maps can also lead them to think better.
Thirdly, I think my students can have a deeper understanding of sharing. Through the sharing session, they can share their feelings and experiences of school life in pairs and in groups. They may think, wow, she has a better idea than me, or my ideas can totally beat his. So students’ thinking ability will be gradually trained.
Lastly, I think, my students can also improve their expressing abilities in this class. And I hope, in this class, they can not only improve their speaking skills, but also be able to feel the beauty of English and to enjoy the wonderful feelings brought by the language.
Ok, dear judges and teachers, language learning is a long- term process. I hope my students can benefit from each single class. And I hope I can grow up along with them.
