教學(xué)內(nèi)容:本單元主要圍繞具有多元文化的美國(guó)這一主題展開,其中又重點(diǎn)介紹了加利福尼亞州的多元文化特征。通過對(duì)本單元的warming up 與reading 的學(xué)習(xí),學(xué)生們能夠培養(yǎng)跨文化交際意識(shí),進(jìn)一步拓寬視野,為終身學(xué)習(xí)奠定良好的基礎(chǔ)。 課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)、教學(xué)目標(biāo)及教學(xué)重難點(diǎn)

Warming up
Here I will play s song to the
students , and to lead them to figure out the name of this song: Hotel of California.
The students can enjoy the song and try to give out the name of this song.
This
is
designed to get students ready to learning the multi-culture of California.
With the
aid of the
PPT.
lead in
Combining with the song just heard, there is also a map on which
California is marked out by red color. Students can get the position of California on the map of America.
Look at the map shown on the PPT and try to point out which part the California is.
This will get
students focus
on the main topic of this passage. Exercise Pre-reading
This part, the teacher will give the MP3 of paragraph 1 of this
passage and give 2 questions which can be answered after the tape listening.
Listen to the tape and have a fast reading to get the main idea of this passage according to paragraph 1 and the subtitles.
To do the fast
reading while listening to the tape can help students have a better control of time. Textbook and the tape
While-reading Give each student a piece of paper on which there are questions related to each paragraph. Play the video, and lead the students to find the answers quickly.
Get the hang of the main idea and some detailed information of each paragraph after listening to the tape paragraph by paragraph.

我對(duì)新課改的核心解讀是能夠讓學(xué)生踴躍動(dòng)口、動(dòng)手、動(dòng)心,主動(dòng)地參與課堂教學(xué)活動(dòng)。基于此項(xiàng),本課最大的特點(diǎn)是在post-reading的環(huán)節(jié),通過小組討論及合作用一幅圖展現(xiàn)出本課的中心“History of California”,比較理想地培養(yǎng)學(xué)生自主學(xué)習(xí)及合作學(xué)習(xí)的同時(shí),激發(fā)出了學(xué)生的靈感和創(chuàng)造力。
