Teaching Procedure
Step 1 Independent learning
Students show their findings about the important phrases and teachers show the phrases.
Step 2 Lead in
Ask a series of questions “Do you like traveling ? Do you think what is the most important thing before traveling ?”
Step 3 Unit 3 Travel journal warming up Step 4 Make a plan
(1) Where are you going ?---place (2)When are you leaving ?---time (3)What are you taking?--- things
(4)How are you arriving ?---transportation
Step 5 Questions and teamwork
(1) Imagine you preparing for a trip. What should you take ?
能力目標(biāo)： 1.develop the students’ abilities of listening and speaking.

(2) Imagine you preparing for a trip. which means of transportation will you use ? Show the pictures of the means of transportation

Step 6 Grammar: 現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時表將來 (be doing）
現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時可表將來，常含有“意圖”， “安排” 或者“打算”的含義.這種用法比較生動，給人一種期待感。此時所使用的動詞多是轉(zhuǎn)移動詞，如：come, go ,start, arrive, leave , stay等。表示將來的現(xiàn)在進(jìn)行時除用于轉(zhuǎn)移動詞外,也可以用于某些非轉(zhuǎn)移動詞,例如take, do ,meet 等。 With “be +doing” answer the four questions.

(1) according to this journal, summarize the steps of writing a travel journal
(2) Exercises：My travel journal 中有星號★標(biāo)注的詞，在這些詞中找到適合完成下面句子的單詞，并把該詞在本句中的漢語意思寫在后面的括號內(nèi)。
Step 8 Summary
(1) words, phrases and grammar
(2) travel journal : before traveling during traveling after traveling (3) benefits of traveling
Step 9 Homework
1 Recite the useful phrases in warming up.
2 Preview the Reading ---Journey down the Mekong.
